For six weeks, I stopped messaging first after matching with women because I wanted to see how they would start the conversation.
In 35% of the matches, nobody sent a message. In the other 65%, almost every opening message was simply “Hi,” “Hello,” or “How are you?” Only a few women commented on something in my profile or complimented my dog.
The conclusion? Men want to feel impressed and pursued too. If we expect creativity and effort from others, we should be willing to show the same energy.
