US President Donald Trump talked up his administration's auto agenda during a visit to General Motors' proving ground in Michigan on July 27.

He assured that the administration is opening up the tiny cars market in the United States and the positive impact its tariffs have had on the sector.

The event was briefly interrupted by hecklers who were escorted from the venue.

00:00Bill Arlington, Texas, behind the wheel.
00:02Ben Hogan, with a strange building of our power.
00:08But here in front of you, it's a straight shot to victory.
00:22It's amazing what tariffs will do for General Motors,
00:27and what the election has done.
00:30They're doing great.
00:31General Motors is doing fantastically.
00:32The best year they've ever had.
00:34We've been very good to General Motors.
00:38And the rest of the world doesn't love me, but that's okay.
00:54Well, thank you. Wow.
01:00But I had a wonderful father, and he loved Cadillac.
01:03And I'm thrilled to be back in this beautiful state, and I'm honored to be the first sitting
01:08president to visit one of the most storied places in the history of American auto making,
01:14and that's the world-famous General Motors proving ground.
01:26He's a communist.
01:27He's a communist.
01:32He's a communist.
01:34He's a communist.
01:36We're running against communists.
01:39What's going on?
01:41We're going to win very big?
01:43No. I didn't even hear the guy. And today, I'm giving all American car companies the right to
01:49build what are known as tiny, little, tiny cars. You know what that is? Because I go over to Europe
01:54and I see these little cars all over the place. And I say, why aren't we making them? They send
01:59some over. But Sean Duffy, the Secretary of Transportation, has just cleared it. I was with
02:06him on the plane. I said, Sean, did you clear that? No, sir, not yet. I want it done now.
02:12Oh,
02:12he knows what to do. He's very smart. He's a very smart guy. I'm a little bit upset because in
02:17two and a half years, you may have a different president. May. And that president will be saying
02:25how great the economy is doing. Look at all the jobs that he produced. We have more factories
02:31being built than at any time in our country's history. They're all going to be opening now and
02:36soon. And I got some guy or woman who is going to take credit for that. Will you please remember
02:45that I did it? Okay? I did it. I did it. God bless you all. Thank you very much.
02:52Thank you very much. Thank you.
