00:01A fire involving an estimated two-acre hilly forest area in Bandar Punchak Alam was brought
00:08under control after firefighters launched an operation to contain the blaze Monday morning.
00:14The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said they received an emergency call at 10.06am leading to
00:21the deployment of a team from the Bestari Jaya fire station to the affected area. They said upon
00:28arrival at 10.34am, they found that the fire had spread across the area covering about two acres.
00:34They said firefighters managed to contain the blaze by creating fire breaks and conducting
00:40extinguishing efforts with the support from the Saujana volunteer firefighting team.
00:46No injuries or casualties have been reported so far, with teams remaining at the scene
00:51to carry out monitoring and ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
