Transcript
00:05Wella Health Chief Product Officer Greg Amuse is leading a strategy discussion focused on
00:13expanding digital health care access across Africa. The Nigerian healthcare technology
00:19startup uses digital tools to make primary health care and insurance more affordable
00:25and accessible especially for individuals outside the formal workforce but like many
00:32African startups turning these scaling ambitions into reality depends heavily on access to
00:39sustainable funding. It takes a lot for you to build the kind of machinery that can reach every
00:46Nigerian in every corner or every African in every corner whether they are in cities or urban
00:52centers or rural areas now funding means that you have somebody with you on the journey that is
00:58able to provide some of the firepower that you need to bring those dreams to reality. After a difficult

01:31funding reaching 705 million dollars in the first quarter alone. Egypt, South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria
01:41continue to attract the largest share of investments but funding is gradually spreading to new markets across the continent.
