00:00Moving on to Brazil, hundreds of women took part in the 11th Sao Paulo Black Women's

00:05March for Civil Rights and Social Justice in Latin America.

00:08The rally took place in Roosevelt Square, coinciding with International Day of Latin

00:13American and Caribbean Black Women.

00:15Community activists and social movements demanded an end to racism, gender-based violence, and

00:20the wage gap affecting women of African descent.

00:23The march also paid tribute to Luana Barbosa and they renewed the call for justice for

00:28her murder.

00:29She died in 2016 after being beaten by military police during a raid.
