00:00Let's look ahead to the weekend and to next week.
00:02Bloomberg This Weekend's Lisa Mateo joins us now in studio.
00:06What do you have your eye on?
00:07Yeah, we're looking at Comic-Con, okay?
00:09This is huge.
00:10This is the nation.
00:11Emily Blunt will be there.
00:12Emily Blunt.
00:13I don't think she'll be there.
00:14But some of your favorite, maybe a Chris Hemworth, maybe a whoever.
00:17But you have all these folks.
00:19Okay, so we're not just talking comics, right?
00:21We're talking TV.
00:22We're talking gaming.
00:23Gaming is huge for these.
00:24You have all these people dressed up.
00:26Cosplay is, of course, a big thing for it.
00:28So they're coming out and they're going to this.
00:30It started yesterday in preview.
00:32So the big day is today through Sunday.
00:34So it's a big thing.
00:35Tickets are like, you know, about $85 or so.
00:37But the thing is, they sell out.
00:39So now on the secondary market, they're going anywhere from $500 to like $1,000.
00:44So it's a big problem.
00:46But it's also good for downtown San Diego.
00:48They're going to get a big boost economic there.
00:50People are going to restaurants everywhere for the parties in the area.
00:53Did you say John Cena was going to be there?
00:54I heard a rumor.
00:55I saw that.
00:56You think?
00:57You think?
00:57I think I saw the list for San Diego.
01:00It's a big thing.
01:02I mean, San Diego is the biggest one, right?
01:04It is the biggest one.
01:05I've been to the New York one.
01:06I've covered it a number of times.
01:08There may or may not have been a Wonder Woman costume involved.
01:11It is a good time.
01:13And it's good to see not just, it's not just kids.
01:15It's the adults who come out to it.
01:17So it's a good time for all.
01:18We just talked about education on the show, Bloomberg Money.
01:22And I know, Lisa, you've been through the gauntlet of education here in the last 12 months.
01:26What was the biggest surprise getting a cherub on the path to college?
01:30I think the biggest surprise was just how much it was going to cost.
01:34I mean, the cost of it was ridiculous.
01:36It overwhelms everything.
01:37And looking at the number of scholarships, like doing all the research into that, and
01:41then finding, you know, having to talk with your kid.
01:43Like, here's the reality.
01:44Here's where you want to go.
01:46Here's where we can go.
01:47And I think that is the toughest conversation, but it has to be had.
01:51Yeah, most definitely.
01:52All right.
01:52We also have earnings.
01:53And I know we've talked a lot about the hyperscaler results.
01:55But there's a bunch of companies that are going to tell us how the consumer is doing.
01:58Of course.
01:59And that's why we want to look to the consumer ones, because the big list would be too much to
02:02get into.
02:02So if you start with Tuesday, we start with Coca-Cola, and then we go to Visa.
02:06So that's for Tuesday.
02:07If we go to Wednesday, Procter & Gamble.
02:09We have Microsoft and Meta as well.
02:11Thursday, we have MasterCard, Apple, Amazon, Friday, Colgate, Palmolive, Chevron, and Exxon.
02:16So two big oil prices.
02:17Oh, Chevron and Exxon.
02:17They're raking it in right now with oil prices the way they've been.
