00:00The Justice Department last night withdrew those subpoenas to the New York Times journalists who reported on Air Force One.
00:06Do you support these type of subpoenas to journalists, or are you going to encourage the administration to stop?
00:13We're not after journalists. We're after leakers.
00:15We're after people that are cowards, people that are unpatriotic, people that are treasonous in many cases.
00:23And the way you find them is through the journalists, when the journalists probably know they shouldn't write,
00:28they shouldn't be giving information out, like that particular information, or others.
00:34We had a lot of, look at the Supreme Court where they leaked the opinion of Roe v. Wade early.
00:40That person should be found.
00:42And the way you find them is to tell the journalists, if it's something having to do with national security,
00:47you tell the journalist, who is it?
00:50And we have a long way to go with that case.
00:53So you think it's appropriate to subpoena family members of journalists to find out information?

01:00There were subpoenas to family members of the journalists, too.
01:02I don't know what's appropriate, what's not. We do it legally.
01:06Barack Hussein Obama did it all the time.
01:08He went after journalists, and nobody said anything about it.

01:15And if you don't give us the leaker, you go into jail.

01:17But when, you know, Obama does it, it's okay.
01:20When I do it, it's not.
01:21In many cases, that's the only way you're going to find out who a leaker is,
01:24and it has to do with national security.
01:28It's amazing.
01:29He did it many times, and nobody said anything about it.
01:35But when a Republican does it, when, in particular, Trump does it,
01:41everybody makes a big deal.
01:43Now, the way you find out is you say to the journalists,
01:45if it's national security.
01:46I would say, I really put it down to national security, not all, in all cases.
01:51But when you have somebody doing a national security leak,
01:54or a leak of great importance,
01:57and you have somebody inside the walls of, let's say, the White House leaking,
02:02I think that's a national security concern.
02:05I think it's absolutely fine.
02:08And again, I'm not knocking Obama for doing it.
02:11I'm knocking the press for not even wanting to cover it.
02:14But Obama did that often.
02:16Other presidents have done it also.
02:18They go to the journalist or the reporter,
02:20they say, national security, who gave you this information?
02:24I'm okay with that.
