00:00This is what my coworkers and I spent while at Coachella.
00:02First things first, this was a work trip for us.
00:04We were there covering the festival as press, so our passes were comped.
00:07Working a festival isn't quite the same as going for fun.
00:09You're on a schedule, you're editing videos anywhere and everywhere,
00:12but there are some nice trade-offs, like backstage access at the Dew Lab,
00:15which had non-alcoholic drinks, and gifts from brands like Liquid IV.
00:19So all of this helped us save money at the festival.
00:21It was 100 degrees, so we were drinking a lot of water.
00:24The festival sells these recyclable bottles for $2 each,
00:26and you can fill them up at stations around the grounds.
00:28Almost immediately, I needed ice cream, so I found an McConnell's stand,
00:31where I got a scoop of cookies and cream and a scoop of strawberry.
00:33It was literally $19.
00:34I didn't realize that the cone was $5 extra until it was too late, so I took that out.
00:38We all wanted to check out the merch booth, where there were a lot of options.
00:41Courtney and Jess really loved this blanket and each got one for $108,
00:45and Jess also got this really cute, nice shirt with butterflies and the lineup on the back.
00:49Don't worry guys, they put the blanket right to use.
00:52We needed some caffeine, so Krista and I hit up the Red Bull tent for a pick-me-up.
00:55We paid $6 each, plus a $1.50 tip, because always tip your bartender.
00:59Courtney and Jessica needed more than just caffeine to get through the night,
01:01so Courtney went to Man Eating Plant and got vegan garlic noodles and dumplings for $51.11,
01:07and Jess got a poke bowl from Sweetfin for $23.
01:10The thing about traveling with content creators is that we will stop for a good photo op.
01:14Each had a turn at the photo booth, which cost $13 per session and gives you two copies of your
01:19photos.
01:19Because we were working the festival and the 29 rooms lunar lounge party,
01:23we really didn't drink all weekend until the last night of the festival,
01:25where I treated myself to a tequila soda for $20.
01:28If you take anything away from this video, please let it be this.
01:31Unless you're camping or driving into the festival, get the weekend shuttle pass, which costs $100.
01:36The burst out of the festival will cost between $150 to $300 if you're staying in Palm Springs like we
01:41were.
01:41Shuttles were pretty seamless, but we highly recommend leaving before the headliner ends to avoid the lines.
01:46Seriously, guys, it makes big difference.
