00:00My dream guest, I would love to have Beyonce on Who's in My Bathroom.
00:04I think that would be amazing.
00:05Hi, I'm Hailey Bieber here with Refinery29,
00:08and I'm going to be showing you the set of my series,
00:10Who's in My Bathroom, here at OBB Studios in Hollywood.
00:13Out of all the rooms in my house, I chose the bathroom
00:16because the bathroom is a very intimate space,
00:19and I feel like typically you wouldn't be playing games in the bathroom
00:24or eating in the bathroom.
00:25I was renting a house.
00:26I was living in this house for probably half a year.
00:29Well, my house was under construction,
00:31and the bathroom in this house was like really massive
00:36and just the perfect space to have started this series in,
00:40so I was really sad when we couldn't film there anymore.
00:43So we decided to recreate the set
00:46with the original bathroom being the inspiration.
00:49You need people to just help you bring your vision to life
00:51and believe in that, and they did, and we're here.
00:56We're going to start the tour of my set digs here at OBB Studios in Hollywood.
01:01Let's go on inside.
01:04This is Video Village, where we have people watch when we're filming,
01:09when we have guests and friends and everyone's teams.
01:12This is where they monitor everything.
01:15You'll see a lot of the magic behind the scenes.
01:19So this is the home of who's in my bathroom.
01:22This is where we film every episode.
01:25This is where I film all the content for my channel.
01:27Pottery Barn actually just helped us put some nice touches to the set,
01:31which just continues to make it feel more cozy and homey.
01:34Towels, bathtub.
01:36So a set secret that I'll show you guys.
01:39Only for you.
01:41Watch this.
01:48Ta-da!
01:50The mirror opens.
01:52Sometimes what we do, too, is we film through here.
01:56So it looks like I'm being filmed through the mirror.
01:58Another thing, too, is these sinks.
02:00They're not running right now, but we can rig it to have running water,
02:03which is how we've filmed some videos.
02:05Washing my face and doing skincare and beauty routines.
02:08The thing I'm most excited about launching with Rode
02:11is just for people to try the products and get their hands on them.
02:14These are products I've been using for a long time,
02:16and I'm just excited to hear what people think and get their feedback.
02:20The inspiration behind the name of Rode was, that's my middle name.
02:23It's a family name.
02:24And the inspiration for Rode came from just my love of skincare
02:28and my obsession with a skincare routine and with skincare products
02:32and ingredients and really just wanting to create amazing formulas
02:37and great products for people at an affordable price.
02:39Rode was released on June 15th.
02:41It's out.
02:42I hope everybody loves it as much as I do.
02:46I wanted to make the setting of the bathroom feel casual and chill
02:51and connect with people over food.
02:53Obviously, that's not really outside,
02:54but one of the ways we make it look like it is outside
02:58is there's a fan blowing that blows the leaves
03:02for that more authentic movement in the bushes and the trees.
03:08So now exiting the bathroom.
03:11Ta-da!
03:13This is where my guests stand by and wait to come into the bathroom.
03:17So we're going to go this way.
03:19This is our guest green room, guest dressing room.
03:23Every Who's In My Bathroom guest, we have them sign the wall
03:27so that in years from now it'll just be filled with all these amazing, incredible people.
03:32This is Aisha Curry.
03:35This is Charlotte Lawrence.
03:37This is me.
03:38That's my name.
03:39So come on in.
03:40This couch is so comfortable.
03:42I've actually passed out cold on this couch taking a nap.
03:46This is the hair and makeup station.
03:47We get here in the morning.
03:49We chat.
03:49We have our coffees.
03:51We jump into hair and makeup.
03:53And then this is the wardrobe room.
03:56This is where I do all my fittings for the show.
03:59If I'm filming something, let's say, for skincare,
04:02I like to be a little just more comfortable and casual.
04:04If I have a guest on the show, I decide,
04:07sometimes actually based on what they're wearing as well
04:10because I don't want us to clash.
04:11Yesterday, this was what I wore.
04:13This Balenciaga shirt with these.
04:18Jeans.
04:18When we're doing the fittings, we would actually move these out
04:21just so I can see fully in the mirror.
04:23I'm really, really picky about tailoring.
04:26I always want to make sure everything looks great,
04:28is going to look great on camera,
04:29and this mirror is gigantic and really helps.
04:33Now I'm going to take you guys up to Crafty,
04:35the OBD Crafty, which somebody told me yesterday
04:39that they had better snacks than I have in my room,
04:42and I was offended by that.
04:44So I guess we're going to have to go see.
04:45I'll see you up there.
04:47Okay, so we're here in the Crafty space,
04:51my favorite space because it has all the snacks.
04:54Down here, obviously, there's some coffees and some food,
04:58and I will say OBB is still under construction.
05:03This is still a work in progress.
05:05So we have some holding rooms here that we use for people's teams,
05:11their managers, their agents when they come to set.
05:14And back here, they are building a beautiful bar that they are going to use for people to come up
05:22here and hang out and have monitors up here so that they can watch while we are filming downstairs.
05:26It's definitely a lot going on at all times here, but I think there's something really fun and special about
05:33all the chaos that goes on.
05:36Okay, let me take you to the post-production side of things.
05:42So this is going to be the post-production side of the studio, which is really cool.
05:48You guys are getting to see it clearly way before it's finished.
05:52There's a second stage over here that is going to be used for so many different things.
05:57Photo shoots, content, more video shoots.
06:00You could do documentary style things here, interviews.
06:03Sometimes I pull my car in here, or we can have guests pull their car in here if they just
06:08want to come in discreetly and keep it low-key.
06:12And then there'll be a bunch of editing over here, so color editing, sound editing, approval for cuts.
06:19This is where I'll come watch everything and see it on bigger screens.
06:23And I'm so grateful to OBB for allowing me to be able to do what I do here.
06:28I don't know if I always wanted to host my own thing, but I do remember being young and watching
06:33Chelsea Lately a lot
06:35and really being inspired by Chelsea Handler and just being this very strong woman who had this really hilarious, amazing
06:43show
06:44and thinking as a young person, that would be really cool to do.
06:47What I hope audiences take away from this show is that it brings them joy, that maybe they learned something
06:53new,
06:54maybe they learned something about one of the guests that they didn't know before,
06:57and maybe they learned something about me that they didn't know before.
07:00It's really just a way that I really wanted to connect with people and connect with my audience.
07:05Thank you Refinery29 for coming to set today.
07:08I have to go get ready to film the next episode of Who's in My Bathroom with a very special
07:13guest,
07:13but I can't tell you who it is yet.
07:16So you'll just have to tune in to the next episode.
07:19See you soon!
07:19Bye!
07:21Bye!
07:21Bye!
07:23Bye!
07:24Bye!
