00:00Hi. Hello. Welcome back to Womanhood.
00:08We've learned a lot. As you know, every episode we get older and older into the aging process of a
00:13human woman.
00:15So today, we will be talking about menopause.
00:21Why does menopause happen?
00:24Great question, Aparna. Young girls get their periods almost every day.
00:28When they get older, they stop getting their periods.
00:31It's my favorite thing about being a woman who has a period.
00:37Well, we did some research and it turns out menopause happens when women officially enter witchhood.
00:43So when you stop getting your period, you start getting your witch on.
00:50Oh, you know what that sound means.
00:53It's time to answer listener mail.
01:10Dear Womanhood, you don't know anything about being women.
01:16Love, Greg. Old Greg from down the hall. What does he know about women?
01:22I got one.
01:31Dear Womanhood, it's Greg again. Did you miss me?
01:38Ugh, Greg.
01:40Please stop using the toilet in the hall.
01:44Everyone knows you've been there because it smells like you.
01:50Love, Greg.
01:52Greg works for .
01:53He doesn't know shit.
01:55Greg hasn't had business in years.
01:58I switched to just to spite Greg.
02:01I pooped in Greg's car.
02:03That was listener mail.
02:05What advice would you give your younger self?
02:08I think if I had to do it all again, I'd order more magazines.
02:14Why?
02:16Because I never felt like I had enough on my table.
02:20I think I'd wear more shorts, less pants.
02:22I think I'd also be more promiscuous.
02:24I think the shorts might help.
02:26Tell me about it.
02:28Follow us here in the menopause corner.
02:43Welcome to Aparna and Joe's Menopause Corner.
02:48If you still don't know if you might have menopause or not,
02:51we have a list of four handy symptoms
02:54that you can remember.
02:56If you forget any of them,
02:57you can just remember the acronym SHEV.
03:00SHEV.
03:01It's like chef, but spelled completely differently.
03:05In fact, probably don't think of the word chef.
03:09Just don't think of the word chef.
03:11And you'll probably remember chef.
03:14SHEV stands for sleep shadows, hot flashes, elbow spasms,
03:21vaginal dryness.
03:24If you or someone you know has one of these symptoms,
03:27you might want to go to the doctor.
03:29You might have menopause.
03:31Joe, do you have menopause right now?
03:33No, I don't think so.
03:35You know what, Aparna?
03:36What?
03:36I don't think I ever will.
03:39Die young, baby.
03:43That's an attitude no one can support.
03:46Well, we're all out of time today,
03:49but we hope you learned a lot about menopause.
03:52Thanks for watching.
03:53I know we liked watching you.
03:55Yeah, you do some pretty great things out there.
03:58Did you know this was a two-way thing?
04:00You didn't?
04:01Do you feel weird?
04:02Shouldn't.
04:04You look good.
04:11Don't click anywhere else or you're going to get a bad virus.
04:14And again, there's good advice on
