00:10Grooming your brows is an important step in finishing every makeup look.
00:13Today I'm going to detail two different ways to do your brows.
00:16The first one is easier and best for beginners.
00:18The second one, although a little bit more advanced, is still easy to do as well.
00:22I'm going to be using the Laura Mercier Eyebrow Pencil in Soft Brunette.
00:26This is a wax-based pencil that is triangular shaped and easy to grip.
00:31I'll be smoothing the brow out with the Brow Grooming Brush, also by Laura Mercier,
00:35and setting with the Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Caramel.
00:39First things first, make sure you groom your brows, they're ready to go.
00:44You can do that with the brush. Easy.
00:49We're going to start with the beginner brow.
00:50For this one, you're going to need your eyebrow pencil.
00:52Make sure that it's freshly sharpened so that you can shape your brow a little easier.
00:57Starting in the middle of your brow, you're going to create short, feathery strokes,
01:00almost making dashes in your brow.
01:02Don't worry about filling in all the gaps, because we're going to go back and smooth it out
01:05with the Brow Grooming Brush in a second.
01:06Try not to do thick, long, drawn-on lines, as you're only going to end up with crazy 90s lady
01:11brows,
01:12and nobody likes that.
01:13Now that we've applied the color with our brow pencil,
01:15we're going to go back and smooth it out with our Brow Grooming Brush.
01:18Lightly press the brush against your brow as you comb through them again.
01:22We're going to set this look using the tinted brow gel.
01:24Lightly comb the brush through your brows.
01:26Be sure not to get too much on, or it's just going to look gooped on and crazy.
01:30And voila, this is your easy beginner brow.
01:33Today, for the second, more dramatic brow, I'm going to be using a matte eyeshadow.
01:37It's very important that the shadow you use is completely flat with no shimmer in it,
01:41or it's going to look really weird on your eyebrows.
01:42The one I'll be using today is the MAC Espresso Matte Shadow.
01:46I'm going to be applying it with the number 10 Stila Brush.
01:49This is a flat angled brush made of high quality synthetic fibers.
01:54It's really important that the brush you use is very stiff,
01:57as it will help place the color on your brow easier.
02:00Again, using short feathery strokes, you want to angle your brush just slightly above your brow line.
02:06Most people have unruly hair up there, so we're going to help to camouflage that.
02:11Starting on the inner corner, you want to create the line to connect with your arch.
02:17You've probably heard not to fill in too far above your natural brow line,
02:21but I like a cleaner, thicker brow, so I like to break the rules sometimes.
02:25Continue shading and filling in the brow until you have your desired shape.
02:29This is the more advanced dramatic brow.
02:31Choose the brow that's most suited to your skill level,
02:33or switch them up for a completely different look altogether.
