00:06Hey guys I'm Tara from Refinery29. And I'm Bethany. So lately I've been obsessed with
00:11the really strong dark brow looks that we've seen on the runway, so I asked Bethany here
00:15to come in and show me how to get it right. We're gonna start by combing the eyebrows in
00:19an upward motion. This helps us to see the real shape of the eyebrow and expand them a little bit.
00:26Once we have the shape of the brow, we can start dabbing in a lighter shade of brow powder.
00:33This is to reinforce the shape by coloring the skin underneath the brow. This is also
00:39where you can fix any mistakes in the brow shape. If you have a little scar or your one brow
00:46doesn't
00:47grow as high as the other, just fill this in lightly with this color. Now we're gonna comb
00:52that color through with an eyebrow brush. This is the key to making it look natural. The comb
00:58just kind of spreads out the color and makes it look less uniform. This would be perfect for a day
01:06look, but if you want to reinforce this color for a stronger brow look, you can do this next step.
01:13With a slightly smaller brush, use the darker eye color. Make sure to add the color in the direction
01:19that the hair grows. This will give the effect that it's hair and not just color. If it looks a
01:26little
01:26too dark at this point, don't worry because we're gonna comb it out again. Now we're just gonna brush
01:31through the brows one more time. We're gonna focus on the front of the brow. Make sure that's squared
01:38out and pushed straight up. Even if it looks a little messy, this is the look. Add a little hairspray
01:44to
01:45your brush for an extra hold. To polish off this look, add a little highlight to the brow bone and
01:51the
01:51inside corners of the eye. Strong brows can be intimidating, but with the right technique, you can
01:57add an edge to any makeup look.
