00:00I've been here since the first day that we opened, and it was literally insane.
00:04From the soft opening to the grand opening, those first couple weeks, even the first month, the lines were just
00:10crazy.
00:13Today we're in the back of the house, the kitchen of Mikan Bakery in Encino.
00:17We are kind of full guns a-blazing, everything's going, we're producing fresh cubes, fresh bread, fresh sandwiches, a bunch
00:25of fresh Japanese pastries.
00:26Everything is made from scratch because we just, obviously, we want to put the customer's best interests at our hearts.
00:32So you have to get the Mikan cube just because we're Mikan, you know, that's our specialty.
00:36We make the orange custard in-house, we make orange whip in-house, as well as the candied oranges that
00:41go on top.
00:42Out of our drinks, the matcha gray is the top tier, it's amazing.
00:49I feel like it would be going to Japan and just trying Japanese food and, like, good matcha.
00:56And that's probably how I would say Mikan is.
00:59It was good, honestly.
01:00It's so clean and cute.
01:01Like, I love the orange theme, and it looks like they have really good, high-quality things here.
01:05I just got out of a Pilates class, and it was really hard for me to get up, but I
01:10told myself I'm going to treat myself with a matcha.
01:12So here I am.
01:14Well, this is my second day back, so I tried a matcha yesterday and a coffee today, and I'll be
01:18back for something else tomorrow.
01:19But I really do like it.
01:20I feel like the matcha quality is uncomparable, and the coffee is really different.
01:25I feel like it's not, like, the classic Colombian blend that you see a lot.
01:28What?
