Sarah Rodebush, from Utah, USA, was helping her son fly his brand new kite for the first time when a strong gust of wind suddenly took over.
The video shows the youngster proudly holding onto the kite before it catches the wind and begins pulling him across the grassy field, with his feet struggling to keep up as he is dragged along the ground.
