00:03I'll wager you've probably heard of Earth, Mars, Venus, and the rest of the planets in our solar system.
00:08But did you know astronomers have identified more than 5,000 other planets outside of it?
00:13They're called exoplanets, and these recently released infographics are providing an interesting look at many you've probably never heard of.
00:20Science Alert reports the whole thing was put together by Slovakian amateur space enthusiast, author and artist Martin Varjik.
00:26He recently told Universe Today, quote,
00:28On the rare occasions I got to see a clear sky and the Milky Way, I was astounded by the
00:33sheer amount of stars.
00:34And that's why he has produced these, infographics showing some of our universe's more noteworthy planets.
00:40The works include over 1,000 exoplanets, each one beautifully illustrated and grouped by how hot they are.
00:46Noteworthy planets include PSR B162026b, which is the oldest exoplanet we know of, at 12.7 billion years old.
00:54As well as WASP-12b, a stretched out and non-spherical gas giant.
01:00The illustrator says the data for both exoplanet infographics was gathered from three public exoplanet databases.
