00:14And it appears with stories coming out that we were on to something last year
00:17with understanding that Julius Randle was not a good locker room fit
00:20for the Minnesota Timberwolves, especially after they kind of tried
00:24to shop him at the trade deadline.
00:26He checked out.
00:26I don't know how you can check out from shooting a basketball in a game,
00:30but somehow he shot under 30% from through the second half of the season.
00:34It was so bad in Minnesota with Julius Randle that you mentioned,
00:37kind of getting rid of the dead weight.
00:38I hate to say it, but Julius Randle, outside of a couple defensive matchups,
00:42was dead weight for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
00:44Him being gone is addition by subtraction.
00:46Lomelo is a huge wild card.
00:49I hope it works out.
00:50I think we talked about it last year, and we made jokes about how I didn't want
00:53Lomelo at the time.
00:54I'm pumped to have Lomelo at this point because whatever we had wasn't working,
00:57and the Timberwolves did not have a point guard.
01:00That's where you see the LeBron James Band-Aid come into play if he can play
01:03the four for one or two years for the Timberwolves to kind of get him over
01:05the hump here.
01:06But they brought in Trey Lyles.
01:07They've got a couple other guys.
01:09You know, Jaden might play the four a little bit.
01:10They might use Jalen Clark to play the four on defense and just, you know,
01:13take up some fouls for his teammates.
01:15They've got guys that can get it done, and as we know,
01:17they've got seven or eight guards.
01:19I mean, we've talked about Desumu, DiVincenzo's coming back, Anthony Edwards.
01:24You know, Jaden McDaniels should be more in the three spot.
01:28This team has a lot of guys.
01:30Terrence Shannon Jr. in the playoffs came on.
01:32We know how deep they are.
01:33I don't know why they, you know, a guy like Josh Green,
01:36I don't know where that's going to fit.
01:37He's going to have to play the four a little bit if they keep him.
01:39My thought is the Timberwolves are one trade away from being a serious
01:42championship contender.
01:44Hopefully that happens in the first half of the season.
01:46We don't have to wait for the trade deadline,
01:48but if it does come up on the trade deadline,
01:50one or two of those twos are going to be gone and probably attach it to a
01:53second round or, you know,
01:55first round pick five years out because the Timberwolves literally only have
01:58one first round pick in the next five or six years.
