00:00Imagine waiting for answers about someone you love, and weeks later you still don't know what really happened.
00:07That's exactly what Nolan Wells' family is going through.
00:11Nolan, 18, went missing after a July 4th boating trip to Mississippi's Horn Island,
00:17and his body was found in the water two days later.
00:22Authorities say they do not currently suspect foul play,
00:25but Nolan's family wanted a second opinion and requested an independent autopsy.
00:32That preliminary autopsy couldn't determine Nolan's exact cause of death,
00:36and his family's attorney says it also couldn't rule out the possibility of foul play.
00:43The report noted unexplained discoloration on the back of Nolan's head,
00:47but no skull fractures or external injuries.
00:51It also wasn't possible to determine whether he was conscious before entering the water,
00:56and toxicology results are still pending.
01:00For now, the investigation is still ongoing.
01:04Nolan's family says they're simply hoping the remaining test results and the investigation
01:09will finally provide the answers they've been waiting for.
