00:00It was an anti-union move and given that that was the decision of the government, it was
00:04only right and proper for union members, who are the ones who get to decide, were able
00:10to consider what was put to them in the revised position.
00:13So the union decision was to reject the offer because that's what members have determined
00:18through the vote that was concluded at 1pm today.
00:21So I understand the parents will be frustrated, I understand that it leads to arrangements
00:27that need to be put in place, but the challenge that we all share, parents and educators together,
00:33is that we've got a state government that has made active decisions not to resource Victorian
00:39public schools and provide the terms and conditions for public school employees that children and
00:46young people need to see in place.
00:48And that's something that we can't tolerate.
00:51Every other public school in the country is either fully funded or on the pathway to fully
00:55funding, to full funding.
00:57What we don't have in Victoria are either of those two things.
01:01It's not tolerable and parents understand that they deserve to have their children's schools fully funded.
