00:00A regional NSW school has been forced into remote learning
00:04after a former student was charged over an alleged arson attack
00:08that badly damaged Cowra High School.
00:13Police allege the 17-year-old broke into the school on Monday night,
00:18set fire to the administration building,
00:20and uploaded footage of the blaze to social media
00:23before being arrested hours later.

00:32but the building suffered extensive damage,
00:35with students unable to return for the first day of Term 3.
00:39NSW Premier Chris Minns described the allegations as
00:43very serious and said the government would work
00:46to get the school operating again as quickly as possible.
