Estados Unidos lanzó nuevos ataques aéreos contra objetivos militares y estratégicos en Irán, incluyendo varios puentes en la provincia sureña de Hormozgán. Según fuentes citadas por The Wall Street Journal y la agencia iraní Fars, algunos de estos puentes abastecían la ciudad de Bandar Abbas, en el estrecho de Ormuz, donde se encuentra una importante base naval de la Guardia Revolucionaria Islámica.
