00:00Everybody knows Queensland is where dreams come true.
00:04Dreamworld is set for its biggest transformation in years after the Queensland Government approved
00:09a major master plan for the Gold Coast theme park.
00:12The proposal paves the way for new rides, resorts, entertainment venues, eco-tourism
00:18experiences and high density housing across a 55 hectare precinct surrounding Dreamworld
00:24and Whitewater World.
00:26This is a win for tourism, it's a win for jobs, it's a win for housing, it's a win for
00:32retail and hospitality industry.
00:35There's going to be four key precincts in this area in this new master plan, Dreamworld Master
00:40Plan.
00:41The first will be the Tourism Corps, which will be Dreamworld and Whitewater World.
00:46The second is the nature-based tourism precinct.
00:49The third precinct will be the Gateway Precinct, which is accommodation, short-term accommodation,
00:54resort and hospitality.
00:56And the fourth precinct will be the Town Centre precinct, which will bring housing and more
01:01retail.
01:02The approval marks another milestone in the park's recovery, nearly a decade after the
01:072016 Thunder River Rapids tragedy, which claimed four lives and led to sweeping safety reforms.
01:14This is what Open for Business means, making decisions in a timely way, working with the business
01:21community and saying we want this sort of investment in Queensland, we want more investment in Queensland.
01:27This means Queensland is open for business, Dreamworld is good to go and as I said at the start, Queensland
01:33is where dreams come true.
