00:00Fun fact, that day when we went to the beach, there was an alarm in the beach that there is
00:04a shark nearby.
00:05It was not a great experience in terms of what Australia has to offer in terms of swimming.
00:09I got a bit terrified.
00:10What's going on guys?
00:11Today we've been given a very exclusive access to hang out with Stephanos Sisypas,
00:16a kind of honorary Melbournian ahead of his Australian Open.
00:21It's everything that we got up to.
00:41So we've just arrived at the tennis courts.
00:44I can see some kids over there playing a bit of tennis and Stephanos is going to go surprise them.
00:47I know there are a few fans in the crowd.
00:49And then after that, we're going to jump into a little interview about pressure, which is a big part of
00:54his career.
00:54He's a big advocate for mental health and having fun playing tennis.
00:57So let's check that out.
00:59I like when I get to interact with kids like this.
01:01It brings back the good old memories of picking up a tennis racket, getting started with tennis.
01:06Why I chose tennis and not soccer?
01:09Because I was playing soccer too.
01:11Yeah, it keeps it interesting emotionally.
01:14I'm feeling like this year is going to be a redefining year.
01:18And what I mean by that is I'll have new scripts written on the tennis courts that I want to
01:23execute.
01:24I want to proceed with as successfully as I can.
01:26And I know that the first challenge of the year is going to be the Australian Open.
01:31And for me, having those pressure moments, having those moments of doubt or struggle on the tennis court, these are
01:41the moments that I actually live for.
01:43Tennis as a career is a very demanding career and requires a lot for you to actually make it.
01:48You know, it's just a sport and if you're good at it, you shouldn't have any pressure at it because
01:53the results will show.
01:55The only thing that you need to commit to is the hard work in order to achieve your dreams.
02:00And I just want to give an advice to the kids out there that I want them to stay true
02:05to themselves and to write their own journey through whatever they want to do in life.
02:10And that doesn't necessarily have to be tennis.
02:13It's just that we get inspired through tennis to do other big things in life and to write our own
02:18stories.
02:19Awesome. Awesome. Thank you.
02:20Thank you. Appreciate it.
02:21So we've just wrapped on the interview and now we're going to head over to the Greek Center in Melbourne
02:26CBD where he's going to tap into his Greek heritage a little bit.
02:28He's going to show us those photography skills and then I'm going to play a little game with him.
02:32We're going to dig into his Instagram a little bit and get some reactions.
02:35So let's head over.
02:47It's a bit of a man rush now.
02:49He's coming in and out.
02:49He's doing a million things.
02:50All the Greeks just came to meet him.
02:52Adidas has done their stuff and now it's our turn.
02:54So I've been going through my interview questions and I came up with a genius idea for him.
02:59We're going to ask him to react to his Instagram photos from years ago.
03:04I'm an internet sleuth.
03:05I've dug through all this stuff.
03:06I've dug 10 years back to his first post.
03:08We're going to ask him to react to it because I think there'll be top tier content.
03:12So let's dive into the interview.
03:14It's almost our turn.
03:15This post you've ever made.
03:16That's right.
03:17Explain to us what's happening there.
03:19So this is my tennis club, the place that I grew up in.
03:22These are the very first courts that I hit tennis balls at.
03:27And this is just the beginning of my journey.
03:29That's how I was built as a player in these clay courts.
03:33We didn't have hard courts.
03:35The clay was the only surface that I had available to play in.
03:39And yeah, it brings a lot of nostalgia when I see this video because I very vividly remember
03:46all those long practice sessions.
03:48My coach putting a lot of emphasis on technique and dedication and discipline and all that.
03:54Yeah, that's when I started my Instagram journey.
03:57I remember.
03:58I've got some good ones.
03:59I've got a couple more ones.
04:00All right.
04:00Oh, God.
04:00She might have seen.
04:02What's happening here?
04:04So that is one of my very first trips to Australia as a junior.
04:08I participated this year at the junior Australian Open.
04:13And we had a day off, me and my father.
04:15And we decided to go to the beach.
04:17They're pretty long bodies.
04:19Yeah.
04:19How do you call those?
04:20Bodies?
04:20Bodies, yeah.
04:21Yeah, I found those bodies somewhere in the shop.
04:23And fun fact, that day when we went to the beach, there was an alarm in the beach that
04:29there is a shark nearby.
04:30So it was not a great experience in terms of what Australia has to offer in terms of
04:34swimming.
04:35I got a bit terrified.
04:36That is from Tokyo, Japan.
04:40Another day off without practicing that day where we got the chance to go hit some baseballs
04:46in one of those indoor malls in Japan where they have machines throwing balls at you.
04:52And you just, it's a great release actually.
04:54It's a great thing to go and do.
04:55Yeah, that's a good feel.
04:57So that is from my vacation in Corfu years ago.
05:00Right after Wimbledon, I had a bit of time off and I decided to go on a short vacation
05:06to Corfu, which I haven't been before.
05:09For those that don't know, Corfu is an island.
05:10Just exploring my own country because I really haven't been to a lot of different islands
05:14and I saw this as an opportunity to go for some exploring.
05:19So it was a good one.
