00:00Nissan just built the GTR of SUVs and here's everything that you need to know about it.
00:04This is the Nissan Patrol Nismo and the main story here is under the bonnet.
00:09It features a 495 horsepower hand-assembled twin-turbo V6 engine,
00:14three and a half litres of capacity and if that sounds familiar,
00:17it's because it's very GTR-like in nature.
00:21We don't have the new Patrol yet here in Australia.
00:23We have a V8 Nissan Patrol and the Patrol Warrior outputs 400 horsepower
00:28and this one's nearly a hundred more than that V8 one,
00:32although the V8 definitely wins on noise.
00:37In fact, it wins in a big way because this Nismo Nissan Patrol,
00:41just like the Nissan Z Nismo has active sound enhancement or ASE,
00:47which is a cool word for fake noise.
00:50It doesn't stop there because it has real aerodynamic enhancements.
00:53That front bumper with those brake ducts helps cool the brake discs by 6%, they say.
00:59The lightweight forged alloy RAISE wheels,
01:02yes, RAISE, I know the car lovers would like those,
01:0423% lighter weight than the standard wheels.
01:06These are real things and it's not just all about looks and Nismo badges.
01:11When you look inside, heaps of carbon fibre, Alcantara and, of course, red seats
01:16and a million more Nismo badges because they don't want you to forget it when you're driving the car.
01:20But the last thing you need to know is the catch because it sounds too good to be true, doesn't

01:28They're not even getting it in their home country of Japan where the car's made.
