A tree-fall along Jalan Tun Razak on Saturday (July 18) night killed a 43-year-old driver and led to the hospitalisation of seven family members, including a two-year-old and a two-month-old infant.

Police said the tree, which fell near the Singapore High Commission at about 10:20pm, pinned two vehicles.

00:10The incident happened at around 10.20pm on Saturday near the Singapore High Commission when a large tree came crashing
00:17down onto two vehicles.
00:19Police say the tree pinned both cars beneath it. One was driven by a 43-year-old man whose vehicle
00:25suffered severe damage.
00:26The victim suffered injuries to both arms and internal bleeding in the chest.
00:31He was pronounced dead at Hospital Kuala Lumpur at 4am on Sunday, succumbing to his injuries.
00:38The second vehicle was carrying seven family members, five adults, a two-year-old child and a two-month-old
00:45infant.
00:46Police say none suffered physical injuries, but all are receiving treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur as a precaution.
00:54DBKL completed clearing and cutting up the fallen tree by around midnight, and the two vehicles were towed away.
