00:19This fugitive doctor has been on the run for 21 years.
00:22Now Ronald Fisher is behind bars after being arrested on board his yacht off the coast of New York State.
00:29Once a practicing anesthesiologist, Fisher fled Rhode Island back in 2005 toward the tail end of his rape trial.
00:36He was accused of attacking a woman on board his yacht, which he called the Lion King.
00:41But he skipped town, fearing a conviction, leaving behind a note for his lawyer.
00:46I have decided not to take the risk of a conviction and to leave the U.S. and enjoy life
00:51in another country
00:52where I have long been carefully planning a good, safe, secure and comfortable life.
00:57Sure enough, Fisher was convicted, but in absentia.

01:03And after I heard that he fled, I was really shocked and amazed.
01:07Again, that's when I realized that we had the correct verdict, because if you're innocent, you don't run.

01:40Last year, she spoke to WJAR-TV in Providence in hopes of rekindling interest in apprehending Fisher.

01:52She met Fisher online and was lured to his yacht for a date.
01:56Now 21 long years after he went on the lam, Fisher is back in the arms of justice.
