00:38That's right.
00:39Joseph says he met Nicole through their mutual friend, Kris Jenner, and he was instantly smitten.
00:44Nicole had recently separated from O.J. Simpson when she and Joseph Perulli began seeing each other.

00:53They dated for about three months, but Perulli says it came to an end because O.J. Simpson was stalking
00:59and threatening him.
01:00He was always around. I felt there was no chance for us to have a relationship.
01:05Do you think Simpson was following you?
01:07Yes, I do. I saw somebody entirely different.
01:11A chilling, he fixed me with this stare I'll never forget.
01:15And it was emblazoned upon my consciousness. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

01:31He says only now, 30 years later, has he been able to open the briefcase again.
01:36I found all these things I had written about her, and she came back to life.
01:40And it almost felt like she directed me there to do that.
01:42Joseph is haunted by the fact that Nicole was found slain with her friend Ron Goldman,
01:47a model and part-time waiter from a local restaurant.
