00:36for having me one of the things that stood out in the press conference I love it is warm warmer

00:41Milwaukee I don't like the the top that's what you guys call them geckos geckos lizard I don't like
00:50those iguanas I don't like those um yeah those got to stay away from me and I want to get

00:59this because it's crazy down here in South Florida all right man we got to get you what is that

01:03an iguana dude you said you were scared of no no no that's not the lizard you were scared of
01:07no first of all why are you holding that in your hand because you have to dude like as part

01:11you have to like get the reptiles under control is that in the in the street or in your house

01:16that's my backyard so they come in your backyard they go everywhere dude can you everywhere everywhere

01:31sure that you have this under control because they will take over your yard Giannis are you being
01:35serious why would I make that up no you've been like they're gonna be in your yard yes you
01:41everywhere everywhere everywhere we've all seen it you cannot like do like can you like find a way
01:49for them not to come in your backyard and not to if yeah you're gonna have to snatch them up

01:52I did that with your head yes so like when you go for a block now you're gonna have to
01:56take those
01:56hands and you're gonna have to go after the there was a clip uh I think last summer it was

02:01little roach like uh it came out from outside the house into the house and I was like in the

02:07on the table on the table screaming like a little girl so the wife takes care of the vermin like

02:12they don't even my wife was more scared than me my wife was most good than me and I um
02:18my mom came
02:19and my mom came is like hey I am I am the rock of this house you sit down and
02:26give you know give me
02:27like a flip-flop and she took the flip-flop kind of killed it and then took it and threw
02:32it yeah man I'm
02:33gonna I'm gonna say you're having gonna get used to crazy animals down here that's that is gonna be part
02:37I don't know if like just in Milwaukee they have like deer and all that type of stuff okay deer
02:41but
02:41when the deer see you they run away yeah they don't do that down here yeah exactly chickens in the
02:47street maybe maybe I should actually trade in uh no let's not do that there's not I'm not gonna let
02:52that happen don't make me the reason for that um listen man obviously this has been uh you know
03:00this was bantied about a whole lot and whatnot but people had always saw the the tie with you and
03:04bam
03:05I'm curious about that first kind of interaction you guys had in Vegas you guys both seem very
03:09task at hand of like you want to just go win this thing but what were those first conversations like
03:14when it was official official yeah when it was official you know I told him I'm like you in Vegas
03:20you know do you have opportunity for us to like you know meet up and maybe work out get in
03:26the gym and
03:26that figure it figure things out and um she was very welcoming and very open like yeah I'll make time
03:32that we were able to go to the gym we worked out for like two three hours um I knew
03:37it was a good
03:38player uh after the workout I realized like he's not a good player he's a great player and uh most
03:43importantly it's a good guy to be around he's he's quiet he's funny I seem like a very good teammate
03:50and he seems like a guy that's very very competitive like he's going to demand excellence and that's why
03:55you know the Miami Heat has been good for so long um and I'm excited to I'm excited to be
04:01his team and
04:01I'm excited to figure out things with him I'm excited to improve our defense together I'm excited to
04:07improve our offense together I'm excited to win games with him I'm excited to you know be in high
04:13pressure situation with him because the guy that I know that he won't he won't break he will be right
04:18there next to you and I feel like he thinks the same thing about me um and I hope that
04:24he's excited
04:24that I'm here too to help him I'm curious about uh you know there's obviously a lot of opinions when
04:28you're a star of your caliber and people say I don't know if you're honest is that guy anymore or
04:32can
04:33carry a team that's probably ports about that and he just said he gave me one word for you he
04:37says
04:37you're hungry like you're just you're hungry to win again what do you make of all that chatter and
04:42and what is your I guess motivation level to get back to the to the title there's always going to
04:46be
04:46chatter about me this is what makes sport interesting you know I feel like sport is is beautiful because
04:54we make people feel something and they might feel happy because we made a shot they might feel sad
04:59because we lost the game they might feel angry because we made a mistake like you make people feel
05:05something you make kids feel inspired they have like a picture in their room of you you know they have
05:15a jersey of you right so it's part of people have an opinion about you it's part of sports uh
05:22most of
05:22them you try to brush the opinions away and like okay I'm gonna keep on doing my thing because I
05:27feel
05:27like what I've been doing has been really good um and I I I thrive through those opinions I like
05:36when
05:36people like doubt me um do I think that I'm still that guy I yeah one million percent I really
05:45do think
05:46that I'm still that when I'm healthy I am when I'm not healthy I can't tell you that I am
05:50I am but I feel
05:51like when I'm on the court and available I'm very hard to beat and I am I'm a guy that
05:56can create a lot of
05:57problems and issues for uh teams and uh the goal is to to control what I can control which is
06:04hard work
06:07um and discipline and dedication and if I'm healthy not if when I'm healthy everything is going to take
06:15care of itself yeah Rob's time so we got to get you out of here honest but really quickly before

06:18get you out of here when you snooped around Pat Riley's office what was the coolest thing you saw
06:21the coolest thing that I saw um I don't remember I don't remember what I saw because it was probably
06:2811 years ago but I remember what I felt I feel like um aura feel like you know um I

06:37this overwhelming overwhelming feeling of history you know um toughness you know discipline uh yeah I

07:49I've had some aggressive Iguanas in my day and especially sometimes they know you they passed
07:53the word especially it's uh me versus uh me having to defend my sunny bunny so you know he just

08:00to be aware if he has a dog they'll be fine they'll run away but they they they don't care
08:04how uh they
08:05don't they don't care how nice your yard is in fact the nice the yard where's their favorite place
08:10a favorite place is a golf course nicest grass in the world yeah but that's what I'm saying like we

08:14them all the time on the golf course you hit your ball by them and you go to hit your
08:17ball they run
08:17away sometimes I've seen some pretty aggressive ones especially if they're orange and horny no no
08:22that just means they're too old then they don't care that's not what that means yeah it is no if
08:27they're orange ones are old no the orange ones are are hopped up a mountain dude ship they're ready to
08:31get loving I'm what dude the orange Iguanas are old no no aren't the orange and orange Iguanas
08:41just because the color they're it's about the color no they're not getting enough sun or something
08:48oh so they turn orange when they're mating yeah oh that's aggressive males all right you guys
08:55doubted me about beaver constipation now we're doing this again no no I believe you
09:01I'm not fighting you on this one Goran Dragic uh sent me a message after that uh he said
09:12because everybody's he says don't scare my guy like that we need him to relax and play good
09:22you even got Goran involved if you're reading Leroy because you're distracted
09:28it says iguanas turn orange primarily as a seasonal display of breeding readiness
09:33boom thank you it's okay like one day you guys will just believe me on my animal facts

09:51they're in the Everglades though you should take them to the Everglades you know what happens when
09:56things go to the Everglades they infiltrate in you know that's what happened on Australia
10:01yeah all their food is in in there it's all I don't know until they they discover we have
10:07squirrels out here they eat squirrels they eat anything dude
10:14if I find it hard to believe that a python could catch a squirrel
10:19I would I mean the thing is they're great at disguise and hiding that's the thing they got
10:23to watch out for how you go be a big-ass a python and hide in the street you did

10:30had this conversation one time where you said I'd never let a snake sneak up on me
10:33nope and my point is you can't determine whether or not a snake can sneak up on you it's a

10:41literally I'm always looking for your head is down on a swivel for a snake yeah I am okay you

10:46when you walk through the grass you're looking down and making sure there's not a snake
10:50high grass no that they can be anywhere no regular like if I'm on a golf course I know if
10:58I go by the
10:59water I know if I go by the high grass um how about under trees because they hide in trees
11:06no yeah I'm always looking yeah but you're not you live I am you live closest to the Everglades
11:13out of all of us and I mean like one could coil up in your engine you know you don't

11:19we're basically Australia now I sent you a picture of a snake in and that's why I can't you can't
11:25believe you about the iguanas we find a snake in one of our little storage areas so I said I'm
11:33gonna
11:33send Tobin a picture what is this poisonous get away was he wrong yes of course he was because most
11:41snakes in Florida are like garden snakes don't you just love the way Giannis is I prefer I really
11:47liked when he said sport oh I like that too great voice
