30:44situation. He says that a rumor has been spreading that the minister's faction is planning to assassinate
30:50the young prince while the kingdom's main military force is away fighting on the battlefield. The

32:53The three of them begin making their way through the forest while discussing the safest route and
32:58planning their next move. In the middle of their conversation, a loud noise suddenly echoes through
33:03the trees. Realizing that something is wrong, they immediately decide that the smartest thing to do
33:08is leave the forest as quickly as possible before whatever caused the sound catches up to them.
33:14However, the moment they reach the edge of the forest, they suddenly stop in their tracks.
33:19Waiting for them outside is an even more terrifying sight. The duke has already arrived with his personal
33:25division of battle mages, and they have completely blocked their path. It is immediately clear that
33:30they have no intention of letting the prince escape, and they are prepared to take him back

43:23straight at the orc. The spell crashes into the monster and creates a huge explosion, filling the
43:28area with smoke and fire. Edward smiles confidently, while the villagers also believe the fight is already
43:34over. However, once the smoke finally clears, everyone is left completely stunned. The orc is
43:40still standing there without a single scratch on its body. For the first time, Edward's confidence
43:46begins to disappear. He finally realizes that this isn't an ordinary orc at all. It's actually a
43:51berserker orc, one of the strongest and most dangerous types of orcs that exist. Edward realizes he
43:58has absolutely no chance of defeating it. So instead of continuing the fight, he immediately turns around and

44:41Watching all of this disgusts Eftel to his very core. He can't believe someone who calls himself
44:47an a rank adventurer would abandon innocent people so easily. Without any hesitation,
44:52Eftel casually uses his own magic to dispel the barrier in an instant. The barrier immediately shatters,
44:58leaving everyone speechless. The villagers stare at Eftel in complete shock, and before he realizes it,
45:05all of their attention has shifted toward him. Eftel quickly realizes he may have overdone things a
45:10little. He never wanted to attract this much attention to himself. At the same time, he knows
45:15he couldn't just stand there and do nothing while innocent people were left to die. After thinking for
45:20a moment, Eftel quickly comes up with a plan. He decides he'll first cast a level 3 fire spell to
45:26distract everyone watching. Then, while everyone's attention is focused on that attack,
45:31he'll secretly finish the Berserker Orc with a powerful level 9 spell without anyone noticing
45:36what really happened. Eftel begins by casting the level 3 fire spell. The moment the spell forms,

46:43should have been second nature to an experienced a rank adventurer. Yet Edward never even bothered
46:48to do something so simple. Eftel realizes he ended up drawing far more attention than he expected as
46:54everyone around him is staring in his direction. But a few seconds later, he notices they aren't
46:59actually looking at him. They're all staring at the giant flaming monster behind him because they
47:04think it smells delicious. While everyone is distracted, he quietly slips through the crowd and decides it's
47:11time to leave. Before walking away, he calls out to Edward one last time. He tells him that he should
47:16show more respect to his elders because the old man standing beside him knows far more about magic
47:22than he ever will. Eftel also reminds Edward that trapping people inside that barrier was basically
47:28attempted murder and someone who tries to kill others has no right to own slaves. He tells Edward to
47:34free the demon girl and turn himself in. Seeing how kind and calm Eftel is makes the demon girl look
47:40at
47:40him in a completely different way. As Eftel continues on his journey, she quietly follows behind him
47:45for a while. Eventually, Eftel notices her and turns around to ask what she wants. The demon girl nervously
47:52asks if he will become her master, completely catching Eftel by surprise. She then drops to her knees and
47:58begs him, explaining that if nobody claims her, she'll be arrested as an escaped slave. Eftel knows that now the
48:05bond with her former master has been broken. She's technically free, but that also means any strange
48:10or cruel person could force her into becoming their slave. She could even end up with someone much worse
48:16than Edward. Since she's a demon, Eftel wonders how she became a slave in the first place. She explains
48:22that after her clan lost a war against the human nations long ago, humans enslaved them, and ever since
48:28then, her people have lived as slaves. Hearing her story makes Eftel realize that once someone becomes
48:34a slave, escaping that life is almost impossible. The demon girl also reveals that she's related to
48:40Merlin, the headmistress of the Magic Academy. Hearing that makes Eftel's eyes go wide with shock.
48:46It's the same Merlin he over 400 years ago, and she's now the headmistress of the Academy. Realizing how
48:52successful she's become fills him with pride. Then he remembers that demon's live for a very long time,
48:58so it makes sense that she's still alive. Eftel then asks the demon girl for her name,
49:03and she tells him it's Anastasia, knowing she's one of Merlin's relatives. Eftel can't bring himself
49:08to leave her behind, or let her continue suffering. In the end, he agrees to become her master.
49:14They reach the town before sunset, and Anastasia asks why they stopped there. Eftel explains that the
49:20Magic Academy's entrance exam will be held there the next day. Anastasia is surprised to hear that
49:25he's enrolling as a student, especially since he's already so powerful. Putting that aside,
49:31Eftel suggests they find an inn to rest for the night. But before that, they need to get something
49:35to eat. A short time later, they arrive at a fancy restaurant. The waiters seem unsure about serving
49:41Eftel because it's rare to see someone bring a slave into such an expensive place. Still, they decide
49:47to seat him. As they walk in, Eftel notices the other nobles giving him dirty looks for having the
49:52nerve to bring a slave into such a high-class restaurant. After sitting down, Eftel notices that
49:58Anastasia is sitting on the floor instead of using the chair. She explains that slaves are supposed
50:03to kneel beside their masters so they can respond to their needs at any moment. Eftel simply tells her
50:09to forget everything she learned as a slave and sit in the chair instead. The moment Anastasia sits

51:22shocked that someone would treat her with so much kindness and fairness, and she happily agrees.
51:27The next morning, they head to the Magic Academy to register for the entrance exam. Anastasia also
51:33thanks Eftel for buying her new clothes, and Eftel tells her they look great on her, thinking about it
51:38some more. Eftel suggests that Anastasia should take the entrance exam as well. If she passes,
51:44she could get a good job in the future. Anastasia isn't very confident that she'll be able to do
51:49it, but Eftel is sure she'll be fine. He can sense that she has more magical talent than almost anyone
51:55else there. After all, she's one of Merlin's descendants. Not long after, the head instructor
52:00steps forward and announces that the first stage of the entrance exam will be a massive battle royale.
