00:00This time around, I am going to talk about the young trump cards that I have impressed
00:04in the World Cup. But there is a caveat. There is a catch. I can only select one player from
00:09each country. So I was left in limbo. And also, they must be 21 years old and below.
00:16So it is quite the challenge. But we have found five players that I have impressed in
00:20the World Cup.
00:21Number one is Morocco's Ayub Boadi. He may not have the stats that screams amazing stats.
00:28But when he is on the field, his calmness, his composure, one would actually ask, is
00:33he really 18 years old? Yes, you heard it right. 18 years old. Starting in all the games of
00:39Morocco, being the midfield general, and he has had lots of composed performances to the
00:45extent that a lot of top European clubs are willing to spend lots of money on him. How
00:50much you ask? 100 million pounds.
00:54Then we have Antonio Nusa, who plays for Norway. Only a goal. But that one goal would be remembered
01:00for a long time because it was a perfect colour. But more than the goals, it is his performances
01:06on the left that has captivated the hearts and minds of football fans. Amazing dribbler,
01:12pacey, and he instilled some form of urgency whenever Norway needs a goal. So he is one to watch as
01:19well.
01:19He plays for Red Bull Leipzig. But he could be moving to big clubs soon because of his performances.
01:26We have Switzerland's Johan Manzambi. 20 years old. But his strength, pure prudeness,
01:32and his attacking efficiency has captivated the hearts and minds of many. Three goals and two
01:38assists in five matches is a decent reading. And there were lots of top flight clubs that were
01:43interested in him. And he has decided to make the move to Prim League. So he is one player to
01:48watch
01:48in the upcoming season. And he is going to don the colours of Aston Villa.
01:52Then we have England's Nico O'Reilly. What a player. What a player. Really, I am lost for words
01:59because it has been a while since I have watched such an effervescent left back. Usually left back,
02:04they will just defend their side and overlap on their side. But this man is everywhere. At one point,
02:11he is in midfield trying to dictate the tempo. And then suddenly, out of nowhere, he will be in the
02:15penalty box looking for hitters to score goals. But more than that, his energy on the flanks is something
02:21that has been a joy to watch and is one reason why England were able to go all the way
02:25to the
02:26semis. Nico O'Reilly. And then, the conundrum. In this case, we had to pick either two of Spanish's
02:34brightest young talents, Pau Kubarsi or Lamin Yamal. Who we picked? This might surprise you. Pau Kubarsi.
02:43Why, you may ask. At the age of 19, playing as a centre-back, being part of Spain's successful
02:50defensive campaign in the World Cup is something to be shouted about. This young player has made 38
02:56defensive contributions in seven matches and there are many more. His clearances and interceptions
03:02have been a delight to watch. But most importantly, he is also the cornerstone of
03:07Spence's possessional player. His passes, his movement, his intelligence has kind of encapsulated
03:15Spence's campaign in the World Cup. And because of players like him, they are in the final. Besides
03:21the players that we mentioned, the five of them, there are some honourable mentions that I would
03:24like to say here. Ian Diomandi, who played for Ivory Coast, just 19 years old. And then we have
03:29Bosnia's Karim Alaj Begovic, only 18, plays for Red Bull Salzburg and scored a beautiful goal during the
03:36knockout stages for Bosnia and then Mbaye from Senegal. So these are the players that have captivated the
03:43hearts and minds of many. You know any names that should be given a shout-out? Comment below.
