00:00This World Cup is being decided by everyone except the players, from whistles, phone calls, to even the White House
00:07getting involved.
00:08Let me explain.
00:08Egypt were leading 2-0 against Argentina, on the brink of what would be the biggest win ever, and one
00:14of the biggest upsets the World Cup has ever seen.
00:16But there was some funny business going on in some of the parts.
00:19A goal overturned, fouls that were not sent for review.
00:24Some fouls that perhaps were not exactly fouls were, you know, given big, big fouls.
00:30It was all that that made it an interesting game for everyone.
00:33Egypt's coach, Hosan Hassan, said it was an unfair game.
00:37And another quote that I found interesting, he said, there's so much unfairness in the world.
00:41Can't football be fair?
00:43Here's my issue. It's not that Egypt lost the game.
00:45It's the inconsistencies.
00:47If you're going to review one foul for VAR, you should do the same for the next one.
00:52It's not one team gets a VAR review and the other one doesn't.
00:56Why not check a shirt tuck? Why not check a foul?
00:59Well, the referees need to let the game breathe, yes.
01:02But that doesn't mean one side gets to breathe while the other side chokes.
01:07Then FIFA topped it more.
01:09When USA's Balogun was given a red card against Bosnia,
01:13sure, a lot of people said it may not be a red card on the field.
01:16But nonetheless, it was a red card.
01:18But days later, FIFA overturned the suspension,
01:21which was something no football fan had ever heard of.
01:24I think it's only happened once before, in 1962.
01:28What's even more interesting is we hear reports that President Trump had called FIFA President Gianni Infantino
01:34to ask about the review.
01:36The same guy who said,
01:38I don't know what a red card is.
01:40And then he openly admitted that it was him who played a role in getting it overturned.
01:45UEFA called it unprecedented, incomprehensible, and unjustifiable.
01:50I totally agree.
01:52Even former FIFA President Sepp Blatter said,
01:54football must never be a playground for political power.
01:58Egypt had lost their momentum because nobody walked to the monitor to check the review.
02:02Balogun got his moment back because someone picked up the phone
02:05and called the right person who had the power to make changes.
02:09This World Cup seems to be more of who you know and how strong your cables can be.
02:13But that's not what should be happening on the pitch.
02:16FIFA keeps calling this the celebration of the game.
02:19But evidently, it seems like how much the rules can be bent.
02:23Football deserves better and I think the fans deserve better.
02:26Let's hope moving forward, we see more better football.
02:29What do you think were the interesting parts of this World Cup?
02:31Let us know.
02:33Let's hope.
02:34Let's hope.
02:36Let's hope.
02:37Let's hope.
02:37Let's hope.
02:37Let's hope.
02:37Let's hope.
02:38Let's hope.
02:39Let's hope.
02:40You
