00:00Let's check it out. Let's start with Spain that is already sitting comfortably right there.
00:04Spain started out the elimination against Austria, and they were dominating on that game 3-0 with no issues.
00:11They were able to move on. Now, after that, in the round of 16, they had a little bit of
00:17a more difficult challenge against Portugal.
00:20And although we didn't see a dominating Spain in that game, they were able to win by one goal, 1
00:25-0 over Portugal.
00:26And then there was Belgium. Spain had no issues with Belgium. Belgium tried really, really hard.
00:34But at the end of the game, Spain was able to get that 2-1, setting them up for the
00:39semifinal against France, where we were surprised.
00:42I think a lot of quinielas, a lot of parlays were destroyed with this result.
00:46Most people had France to win it outright. Over 60% of the best plays were hoping for France to
00:53win.
00:54And I think there's a lot of people that felt that it was so close.
00:57But then it vanished on a second after Spain was able to take this game.
01:02It was complete control from Spain on this game, my friends.
01:07No worries for... Let's take a look at some of these notes that I have here.
01:12Like we said, Mikel Orsabal, it was an amazing performance from this forward that has been now among the greatest
01:21of the forwards in Spain.
01:22He is the top World Cup scorer. No other Spanish player has scored more goals during a World Cup than
01:29him.
01:29For five goals, my friend, it puts them right there with RaĂşl, that has seven goals in international competitions with
01:35Spain, con la furia roja.
01:37But it was clear from the beginning that Spain had an easy day.
01:41They were controlling the game from the distribution.
01:44Now the back, like I said, Rodri gave a masterclass for this team.
01:50And really quickly, Barcola fired over France for the best first chance.
01:55The best opportunity came from Barcola.
01:57Close to score, but not enough to scare the Spaniards.
02:02And like I was saying earlier in the day, Spain have now lost just two of their last 11 meetings
02:07with France in all competitions.
02:09They're straight wins, all of them in semifinals of different tournaments.
02:142-1 win on the Euros 2024.
02:175-4 victory in the 24-25 Nation Leagues.
02:20And now 2-0 in the World Cup, my friend, France.
02:24France is going to have to do a lot of reckoning.
02:27They had a golden opportunity.
02:29Dembélé, Olisse and Mbappé at front.
02:32It seems like a waste of talent not to win a World Cup with that trio of attackers.
02:37Not to mention the rest of the team.
02:39Like we said, France had a starting player in the bench for every single position in the field.
02:46For me, it's a complete disaster for France not to win this World Cup.
02:51It was for them to win.
02:52They had the best team, the most talent.
02:54But the reality is that this tournament is difficult to win out of just the names and the talent that
03:00they showed in the last season.
03:01It requires consistency.
03:03It requires also a lot of intelligence.
03:05Like we saw, Spain started very slowly.
03:08It's a team that has been building and getting 5% better, 10% better game after game.
03:13To the point that you reach the maturity that you need for the team in the right stage.
03:18And we see Spain doing it.
03:20They come out to their second World Cup final after winning in 2010.
03:25Maybe this start won't be lonely next week, my friends.
03:28Because in front of them, either way, they have very tough competition.
