00:00If there was any lingering doubt that the war with Iran is back on, it has been tossed right out

00:06The United States restored its naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, as promised Tuesday afternoon.
00:11Earlier in the day, Iran fired missiles and drones at U.S. facilities in Bahrain and Jordan
00:16and targeted commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, killing one mariner and wounding eight others.
00:22Now, those attacks came just hours after another round of U.S. strikes on Iranian military targets.
00:26President Trump says the United States will continue escorting commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz,
00:32declaring the waterway open, despite Iran's claims that it controls the passage.
00:37But the president is also shifting his stance on what was one of his biggest proposals.
00:43A day after announcing the U.S. would charge a 20 percent fee for providing safe passage through the Strait,
00:48Trump changed course.
00:49I was called by different people, different countries, kings and emirs and all of the people that we all know
00:57and we all love.
00:58And they've been, frankly, they've been very strong partners.
01:02And they said, we'd love to do it a different way.
01:04And we would like to invest tremendously in the United States as opposed to charging a fee.
01:10And I like that, actually, because I don't think anybody should be able to charge a fee for the Strait.
01:16So while the U.S. is dropping that whole toll plan, it's not backing away from the region.
01:21The naval escorts will continue.
01:23American forces remain engaged.
01:25And Iran is still firing on ships and U.S. allies.
01:28So, in other words, the fight is far from over.
