00:00I want to tell you about the people I was sitting next to at the 2026 Major League Baseball All
00:06-Star Game.
00:07Talk to me.
00:08And I want to remind everybody that this is what it's all about.
00:12So there's 30 teams in Major League Baseball, which means in theory, in average, you're going to have an All
00:20-Star Game in your town every 30 years.
00:23Yep.
00:23In theory.
00:24It doesn't work out that way.
00:25There's no set order.
00:26Yeah, plus, yeah, yeah.
00:27You think about it, that's usually the way it rocks.
00:29Two New York teams.
00:30So in Philadelphia, they hosted the All-Star Game in 1996 and 2026, right?
00:39Yes, so that's 30 years.
00:4130 years apart.
00:42Wow.
00:43And I was sitting next to Nick and Richie.
00:48Nick is a father.
00:50His son, Richie, was with him, and then next to Richie was me.
00:54Richie was living his best life, calling out to each and every All-Star, trying to get a baseball.
01:01I got to talking to Nick, and he told me that his dad, when he was 13 years old, took
01:08him to the All-Star Game.
01:09Now he's 43 years old.
01:11And he's bringing his son.
01:13That's so cool.
01:13So this is what it's all about.
01:17That's what baseball is, man.
01:18Nick no longer has his dad and Richie, his grandfather.
01:22But Nick said this is the greatest night of his life, because he gets to share this with his son,
01:31just like his dad shared with him.
01:33Woo.
01:34Yeah.
01:34I mean, obviously, I'm romantic about baseball, because it's my family's life growing up.
01:42So call it whatever it is, but the passing down of that tradition, whatever it is in your family, whatever
01:48your love is, is something that's so beyond powerful that it's incomprehensible to even put into words.
01:58Yeah.
01:58I was watching last night, and I started to get all the feels of remembering watching 96.
02:04Yeah.
02:05And remembering at the vet, I mean, I was not there, but I remember watching it with my grandfather, and
02:10he's no longer here.
02:11But I just remember, you know, the green outfield and all that stuff, and watching it last night, I'm like,
02:17wow, wow.
02:18Wow, it's right.
02:20It's been that long, Donnie.
02:22Yeah.
02:22It's really, really, really cool.
02:24A different world for so many.
02:26So to Nick and Richie, I'm glad you had a great time, and I'm glad we got sat next to
02:31each other.
