00:02Well, he's very circumspect.
00:04And listen, I joke about it, but I don't mind that at all.
00:10We view work the same way. We want to keep going.
00:14He builds enormous momentum around the camera.
00:17And that whole department, it just, you know, it's once we get a shot.
00:21And I remember on Interstellar, there was a sequence where we're on this ice planet
00:29where I'm stranded, and my habitat explodes.
00:33And I talked Chris into letting me be in one of the angles
00:36and tying me into the explosion, because I love to do real practical effects like that.
00:41And so we do this shot, and we stage it.
00:44So I'm coming up this thing. I walk over, and then as the camera hinges,
00:47this thing explodes. I acknowledge it, and I keep going.
00:50And obviously, we've got one take.
00:52And so we do it. It goes well. Everyone cheers.
00:55And Chris is already marching off.
00:57And he's like, we're over here now, and he's already going to set up the next shot.
01:00So I see him later.
01:02We're all staying in the same little hiker's motel.
01:06And I mentioned that, and he said, yeah, yeah, he goes.
01:09He goes, it went perfectly.
01:10He goes, but if we had stayed to celebrate,
01:12we would have been congratulating ourselves for another hour and a half.
01:15We would have gotten nothing done.
01:16He goes, and I knew we were going to meet up back here,
01:18and I could tell everybody, good job, like, once the shooting was done.
01:21So I love that momentum.
01:23And it just means he doesn't spend a lot of time holding your hand
01:26and telling you how great you are.
01:28He just wants to get on with it.
