00:07According to the Post, The View co-host spoke with police over the phone after 24-year-old Gabriel was
00:12stopped on June 16th for allegedly jogging along active MTA tracks in New Rochelle.
00:17Court records state that Gabriel was spotted on the right-of-way of the active railroad tracks near 24 Station
00:23Plaza in violation of posted no trespassing signs.
00:27One source told the New York Post that officers were simply speaking with Gabriel about the alleged trespassing when Hostin
00:33became involved by phone, questioning why her son had been stopped.
00:37The source also claimed that Hostin asked officers if they knew who she was before saying,

00:45Hostin declined to comment when reached by the New York Post on July 13th.
00:49Gabriel is scheduled to appear in court on July 31st.
00:52Ahead of the hearing, Hostin submitted a letter to the district attorney requesting that the case be dismissed.

00:59In the letter obtained by TMZ, Hostin wrote that Gabriel is a 2025 Harvard University graduate with no criminal history

01:15Hostin argued that the no trespassing sign at the entrance was not visible because the gate had been left open.
01:21She wrote that her son reasonably believed the area was accessible and had no intention of entering private property unlawfully.
01:27Calling the incident an honest mistake, Hostin said dismissing the case would avoid imposing unnecessary consequences on a young man
01:34she described as having exceptional character, an achievement who poses no risk to the community.
