00:44because Iran has been very much destabilized,

00:56So they're not going to have that problem.

01:02And I think that's one of the reasons
01:03that our oil companies are going in there
01:06at levels that have never been seen before.

01:23is to restrict the possession of weapons to the state.
01:28And this is a basic point.
01:32And I have, and this is like a decision, it's not an option.

02:49I was wondering if you could explain your changing thinking
02:53on the straight, if we're moving, supplying a 20% B.
02:56How did you get to the decision you just announced?
02:58President Trump So when I put that out yesterday,
03:01we've been doing that for many, many years.
03:02It was never fair to me that we would be guarding the straight
03:05when we basically don't take anything.
03:07We don't need the oil at all.
03:10And it wasn't important for us, but it was important for allies.
03:13It was important for people that we get along with very well,
03:16including the major Gulf state countries.
03:20So I put it out yesterday.
03:22I thought it was good.
03:23I was called by different people, different countries,
03:26kings and emirs and all of the people that we all know
03:30and we all love.
03:32And they've been, frankly, they've been very strong partners.
03:35And they said, we'd love to do it a different way.
03:37We'd love to invest in the United States with billions
03:41and billions of dollars and continue our record setting.
03:45Because we would, there's never been a time like this
03:48with the United States, with the factories,
03:50with the plants, with everything else.
03:51And we would like to invest tremendously in the United States,
03:55as opposed to charging a fee.
03:57And I like that, actually, because I don't think anybody
04:00should be able to charge a fee for the straight,
04:03or for any other straight relationship
04:07in terms of other sections of the world.
04:09I don't think anybody should be really in that position.
04:12But we were doing it as a reimbursement.
04:15The Gulf states are going to invest a tremendous amount of money
04:18into the United States, and that was very satisfactory to me.
04:22I think it's actually much better.
04:26I could also ask, are you aware of why the FBI
04:29is looking into Senator Graham's death?
04:31Have you gotten any updates on why they were at his home?
04:33Well, I don't know why, because I think, you know,
04:36he had a problem.
04:38His father had a very similar problem, as you know.
04:40It's very unique.
04:42At first, I heard it was clogged arteries,
04:44because he did have clogged arteries.
04:46He had a problem with that.
04:48He was, I wish he took better care of himself.
04:52I say, you can see, you know, you can solve that problem.
04:55But what happened is actually something
04:57that's very hard to detect.
04:59It was not related to the, any blockage.
05:02It was a totally different thing.
05:04And supposedly, and I've watched all the medical reports.
05:08I've had the doctors from the White House come in
05:10and explain what happened.
05:11And this is something that is very, almost undetectable.
05:16And if it happens, there's not much you can do about it.
05:19It sounds unfortunate, but there's not much you can do about it.
05:22If you look at his, his father died of the same thing
05:27at about the same age.
05:29So there was not much, they say it's almost undetectable.
05:33You can detect it by, if you have a very bad back.
05:37That's a sign, it's a bad sign.
05:39So if anybody has a bad back, it's a pretty rough thing
05:44to think about.
05:45But the fact that it's one of the primary signs.
05:47And he would tell me he had a bad back.
05:50But little did anyone realize it was for that.
05:52So, and when that bursts, which it did, it burst,
05:56there's not much.
05:56So I don't see a lot of evil there.
05:58I don't, I know there's all sorts of conspiracy theories
06:01going along.
06:02And I don't think the FBI, I think the FBI is wasting their time
06:06if they're doing that yet.
06:07The Pressure, just on the prior question,
06:10could the informally straight-tole idea for you,
06:12that's dead now, that's completely gone?
06:15The President No, I just told you, you have Saudi Arabia,
06:18UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, you know, primarily,
06:24and then others.
06:26They, I spoke to all of them, and they would love to invest
06:29more money in the United States at record amounts.
06:33And that would be very acceptable.
06:35And this way, there's no fee.
06:37I don't like the concept of a fee.
06:38But at the same time, it's not fair that we're protecting
06:41this straight for the entire world, for China and everyone.
06:45I don't mind protecting it for China.
06:47I don't mind protecting it for anybody.
06:48But it's unfair that we're not in somehow compensated.
06:52And we've been doing this for many years.
06:53It's bothered me 25 years ago, it bothered me.
06:57During my first term, I was doing things like,
06:59you have to invest in the United States.
07:01And, but, by doing it that way, there's no fee.
07:05They're investing, and they're getting a return on their money,
07:07and it's good.
07:08But they're going to be making massive investments
07:11into the United States, and I like that much better.
