00:00Hi, it's Neve Duff, Queensland Country Life's Roma-based reporter here.
00:03I've just got back from the Roma sale yards.
00:05We were an absolutely mammoth yarding this week.
00:08Well over 11,500 head were penned up for sale.
00:12Local agents attribute increased numbers to the market being so firm lately.
00:16People just making most of the advantage to send a few in and make a bit of money.
00:20Also, with the feeder market down south quite slow due to dry conditions,
00:25it's a good opportunity for vendors up here to send a few steers in.
00:29Despite the increase in numbers, the market remained firm and was a quality sale.
00:35That's still ongoing.
00:36Check out the Queensland Country Life website or, as always, look out for it in this Thursday's paper.
