00:00And UFC 329, the return, and I use that term loosely, of the Mac, Conor McGregor.
00:11He lost in a little over a minute to Max Holloway, seemingly blowing out his knee on the first kick.
00:20Now, there's a lot of debate and conspiracies out there.
00:23Did he come in injured?
00:24Did he get hurt on the way to the cage?
00:26Was he hurt fight weak?
00:28Was he going to a pain clinic?
00:32I don't know where I live.
00:34I could see that he maybe came in a little bit banged up.
00:36I don't think that he had a completely snapped knee.
00:39I think there might have been a sprain or something.
00:43But here's what's bad.
00:44You want to know what's bad for ligaments?
00:47Leroy's assessed for this.
00:49Coke, steroids, and age.
00:52Yeah.
00:53Like, that's just, he's, you know, he's just not physically built for this sport anymore.
00:58And, guys, I told you this coming into the fight.
01:03If you bet on Conor McGregor, you're high as a kite.
01:07Nobody, and I mean nobody, comes back from snapping their leg in mixed martial arts.
01:18You can't do it.
01:21You have to fight barefoot, and you have to use your leg on offense and defense.
01:30Nobody comes back from it.
01:32Not the great Anderson Silva.
01:35He did not win a fight, truly.
01:36He won a fight against Derrick Brunson, but he got a complete hose job decision on that.
01:40He did not deserve to win that fight.
01:42Nobody comes back from that.
01:45Nobody, when you have that injury, you go to boxing.
01:49Our boy, Tyrone Spong, when he broke his leg in kickboxing, he went to boxing.
01:57Because you can't do that sport anymore.
01:59When Chris Weidman had it happen to him, he couldn't do the sport anymore.
02:03He tried.
02:06But nobody comes back from that.
02:08Conor McGregor could fire up all the, and by the way, already was on the decline.
02:14Already was on the decline five years ago.
02:18But that was, holy hell, was that depressing to watch this weekend, Leroy?
02:24Yeah.
02:25I mean, all 12 seconds of it.
02:27All 12 seconds of it.
02:29Like, you know what I hate?
02:30Here's what I hate.
02:32It's the same thing when we saw Tyson fight.
02:36Right?
02:37Was it Jake Paul?
02:38Hmm?
02:40Leading up to it, you always have that, maybe, I don't know, and then you watch two seconds
02:48and you go, just as I thought.
02:50There's something about, there are certain people, this is the thing with fighting.
02:55There are certain people who, once they got us, they got us.
03:01Tyson is one of those guys.
03:03McGregor is one of those guys.
03:04Floyd is one of those guys.
03:06I will always tune in to see what they got.
03:08I will always watch it.
03:10There's something romantic in boxing about the comeback fight.
03:13But there's a reason why George Foreman was a freak.
03:18Okay?
03:18People don't do that.
03:20Right.
03:20They don't do that.
03:22And especially people who are really bad to their bodies.
03:26Okay?
03:27Really reckless outside the cage.
03:30And usually, guys who get exorbitant wealth and don't have to do it anymore.
03:35You just can't find it.
03:37It's never going to be as magical as the climb.
03:41And just when you think the Conor McGregor story couldn't get sadder, it got sadder.
03:47And now, I mean, I've seen the crazy conspiracy.
03:50Now people are like, ah, he did it on purpose because he just wants to get out of his deal.
03:53Are you crazy?
03:54Let me get this straight.
03:55You think Conor McGregor wants to look like that going into contract negotiations?
04:02Are you stupid?
04:02Are you stupid?
04:03Are you stupid?
04:04He doesn't have it anymore.
04:06Right.
04:07He's not that.
04:07You're not that guy, pal.
04:09Could he go box?
04:10Yeah, maybe he'll go box.
04:12But he can't compete in mixed martial arts anymore.
04:15No more octagons?
04:17No.
04:18He can't do it anymore, Vlad.
04:20He can't do it.
04:21And why?
04:22My problem is, why would we expect him to?
04:24I don't know, because people think he could shave his head and put a mohawk on because he could talk
04:30better than anybody that's ever talked in a fight promotion since Muhammad Ali, probably.
04:36And they just get convinced.
04:39You get romanticized by it.
04:40That's the word.
04:41People just love you.
04:43Romanticize.
04:44You love a fighter to the point they're a hero or they're a superhero.
04:48And so you're always going to believe.
04:51Yeah.
04:51You're always going to fall for any comebacks and anything that they said because you still think they can go
04:58back to when they were in their prime.
04:59But like you said, man, just too much abuse to his body over the years.
05:02Plus, I don't know about you, but if you haven't fought in five years, in that sport, I don't think
05:07you just can come back and just win.
05:09Of course not.
05:09But like after five years, five years off rust against that type of an opponent?
05:15No, no, you're not.
05:16You know, the other problem is, is they see somebody else do it and they start classifying their careers against
05:24those people.
05:25So I think a lot of people look at somebody like John Jones and say, that guy fights once every
05:31three years and look at him.
05:33But John, and I get that.
05:35But the difference between John Jones and Conor McGregor is it's not the cocaine.
05:41It's just he was the greatest.
05:44It's a vast difference.
05:46And like Conor McGregor, when he lost, he lost bad.
05:50Like the fights that maybe John lost are squeakers.
05:56Like maybe he didn't, you know, he didn't look completely washed.
06:02He maybe was disinterested because he's like, I don't like fighting Dominic Reyes.
06:07You know, this is not interesting to me.
06:09This is not get the juices flowing.
06:10And Dominic Reyes is fighting for the biggest fight of his life.
06:12So maybe you'll get a night like that, but that's, that's the greatest mix.
06:18That's the guy that's the best to ever do it.
06:19And he never had a devastating injury that he was coming back from.
06:24It's just, it's crazy to me that people thought Conor McGregor, even if he was healthy, would have had a
06:30chance against Max Holloway.
06:31But what happened was the most logical thing to ever happen.
06:35That a guy who had the most devastating injury in the sport reportedly had to use copious amounts of PEDs,
06:44according to the New York Times, to get his leg right.
06:48Okay.
06:48I won't even fault you for that.
06:50I'm not a big clutch my pearls over PEDs, but that's what he did reportedly to get himself back to
06:57try and give it the system.
06:58And then barely kept doing that kind of stuff.
07:01They canceled their, their drug testing program with the same thing.
07:06He gets himself all the way back, gets himself in physically looking like good shape, but he's just not the
07:12same guy.
07:13And he hasn't been that same guy, dude, in nearly 10 years.
07:16He hasn't been that guy.
07:19He hasn't been, but he's got this hold over people.
07:22Like you think he's going to summon some powers because he convinced millions of intangibles that he could beat the
07:29best boxer to ever walk the planet the last 25 years.
07:32That's, that's the kind of convincing he can do with his mouth.
07:35But he can't.
07:37He's not that guy.
07:39He shouldn't do this anymore.
07:41It's over.
07:43It's been over.
07:44But now instead of a, instead of a period, it can now end with an exclamation point.
07:49It's over.
07:52He just, he just had a statement.
07:56What did he say?
07:57He's, you know, he was a hundred percent ready to fight.
08:00There was no injury before.
08:02Oh, sure, sure, sure, sure, sure.
08:03This is not how it's going to end.
08:04He will return.
08:05Let me get this straight.
08:06In the history of guys going into fights injured, especially guys where millions of dollars to bet on.
08:13You see Manny Pacquiao got a class action lawsuit against him for a shoulder injury that he didn't disclose.
08:19You think Conor McGregor's like, you got me.
08:21I was hurt.
08:22Like, no, of course he's not going to say that.
08:25Right.
08:26Of course he's not going to say that.
08:30All right.
08:31So let me give him his, you know, the correct statement here.
08:34My head gasket is gone, destroyed.
08:36I had no injury or injuries going into the fight.
08:39I was throwing kicks planted and jumping all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight.
08:44This came out of nowhere.
08:45I am beyond dark here.
08:48I can only describe it as hell.
08:50Well, you want to know something?
08:52It's honestly worse that he wasn't injured if that's the truth.
08:55Because that means your body couldn't hold up for one kick.
08:59How much did you train?
09:00Could you imagine training that much?
09:03It's almost worse.
09:05Like, if I was Conor McGregor, I'd be like, yeah, I was injured coming in.
09:07I tried to gut through it.
09:08But it's like, no, actually, I was 100% of my body.
09:11Couldn't hold up for one kick.
09:13That's worse.
09:15And he wants to come back.
09:17Yeah, he's like, surgery, prehab, return to martial arts practice, go again, final flight of the contract, please.
09:23You already had your, oh, final flight of the contract.
09:26So he wants the money.
09:28Yeah.
09:28Which is crazy.
09:30Okay.
09:31He said, my faith is unconditional and I am thankful I get to prove it.
09:34No need I to eat dirt and intense day in church.
09:36My lifestyle changes are permanent and not just until.
09:39I am thankful I get to prove it.
09:41Well, here's the conspiracies that are out there, right, on the injury stuff.
09:44So, like, he looked.
09:45They showed this on the broadcast.
09:46He looked, and Dave Salve mentioned this, that he couldn't put weight on his leg at the Cutman's prep station.
09:54He took off his sneakers and he kind of looked wobbly and all that.
09:59He then also had this odd video where he, like, puts on the sneakers at the weigh-in after taking
10:05off his pants, which is, that's strange.
10:08Nobody ever does that.
10:09You just go on the scale barefoot and then you put on your sneakers to go do the face-off.
10:12Right.
10:14Super weird.
10:15Super weird that he did that.
10:17So, it was almost like he needs support.
10:19There's also these videos and there's these videos of him going into a clinic.
10:23Was he doing it to get cupping?
10:25Was he doing it to get his leg looked at?
10:27I don't know.
10:28I don't know.
10:30But Dana comes out and he goes, well, if anybody saw him injured, like, there was 80 million people who
10:36saw the face-off.
10:37Somebody would have saw something.
10:38No, that's not true.
10:39I'm like, what?
10:41What are you talking about, dude?
10:43Okay, so, we didn't see it then, but we saw it, you know, but the people who saw it on
10:48the check-in station, I don't know.
10:51But, look, again, okay, let's say he wasn't injured.
10:55He got injured with one kick?
10:57His body couldn't hold up for one kick and he's supposed to fight again?
11:00Come on.
11:01It's over.
11:03Leroy.
11:05Over, dude.
11:05I mean, the crazy thing about it is, is it didn't help none that he was talking mad trash.
11:16That's what he does.
11:17That's how he sells fights, Lee, right?
11:20He's going to have to talk trash.
11:23But you think people are going to fall for this again?
11:25Yes, we always do.
11:26What are we talking about?
11:27People will fall for it again.
11:29What are you talking about?
11:30We talk about this, oh, we ain't going to fall for it.
11:31And then, boom, in eight, six months, he'll announce a fight.
11:34Oh, Halloween.
11:35It ain't going to be six months if he tore his knee up.
11:38Especially now that it's not on pay-per-view.
11:41Could you imagine if you paid pay-per-view for that?
11:43No, that wasn't a pay-per-view.
11:45What was that on?
11:45It was Paramount+.
11:46So now that it's on Paramount+.
11:48Because what are the consequences?
11:49I'm tuning in to watch Conor McGregor.
11:52Of course people will get convinced.
11:54If they do Nate Diaz versus Conor McGregor 3, of course they will.
11:58But Vegas Sportsbook made a killing.
12:01I can't believe people bet on it.
12:02I genuinely cannot believe that.
12:0492% Tobin and Leroy, 92% of the bets were on McGregor.
12:09The man hasn't fought in five years.
12:11And they're going to put it again.
12:12It wasn't like he was fighting some chump.
12:14You know what I mean?
12:15He's fighting a Hall of Famer.
12:18That's crazy.
12:2092% of people bet Conor.
12:22Yeah.
12:23That's insane.
12:25Tell you what, though.
12:27Does that lead people from, like, even wanting to watch us fight when you lose like that?
12:33Do you, like, say he's a bum, I'm done?
12:37People will come back.
12:38I'm telling you they will.
12:39People will come back.
12:40You know, like, Mike Tyson just drew record numbers.
12:44You remember what he looked like at the end of his prime?
12:46You know, like, people always, there are certain guys people will always come back for.
12:52But I just don't, but I don't know how many times I have to yell at these, at people when
12:57these fights happen.
12:58When I tell you old doesn't work for fighting and he hasn't been a good fighter in, in, in nearly
13:08a decade.
13:10He hasn't been.
13:11But like, yeah, that just, that just, I don't understand why we miss on that.
13:17I don't know.
13:18I don't know.
13:19I don't know.
13:20If he comes back and he fought, like, you know, Michael Chandler or Nate Diaz, like, old versus old guys
13:27who have been watched, maybe.
13:30But even then, I'm not betting on him.
13:33Nobody, and nobody comes back from that injury.
13:35He would have to fight somebody at his level so that it looks like Tyson Evander Holyfield.
13:42He would need to fight somebody, you know, like, if he fought, like, Mosfidol, who hasn't fought.
13:47In four years.
13:49Something like that.
13:50I know.
13:50That would be a good, you know what?
13:51Mosfidol would kill him.
13:52No, he wouldn't.
13:53I think Mosfidol would kill him too because Mosfidol's not coming off the worst injury.
13:56But yeah, that's where it would have to be.
13:57That would have to be the fight.
13:58Not to say Mosfidol wouldn't beat him.
14:00I'm just killing.
14:02You know what I'm saying?
14:03They both could get hit.
14:04So that's the type of fight I could see Conor possibly winning, where it's just a guy just
14:09as crazy as him, not trying to grapple or anything like that.
14:12He just wanted to throw hands.
14:14Yeah.
14:14Like, that's, but he can't fight.
14:16And that would sell.
14:17If he fought a Gaethje, like, fighting a Gaethje or a Holloway, it's a waste of time.
14:22Because even though they have a maybe not one, they've been active.
14:26Yeah, but Holloway just knocked out the lightweight champion.
14:29Like, he lost to Taboria, but he flatlined Justin Gaethje not that long ago.
14:34He's still amongst the best fighters on the planet.
14:37And that's when Taboria was the best, one of the best fighters.
14:39It wasn't like he lost to, like, above.
14:41He lost when the guy was on, like, the guy was on top.
14:44If Conor McGregor's leg were made of vibranium and he came into the cage, he still was going
14:49to get his ass kicked by Max Holloway.
14:51Be clear on that.
14:52It's vibranium now.
14:53Come on now.
14:53I'm sorry.
14:54Whatever the intangibles matter is.
14:55Okay.
14:56Vibranium.
14:57But, uh, but whatever, like he could have, if he had, if he had AI legs and was just perfectly
15:02fine, Max Holloway was still going to kick his ass.
15:05But the fact that he couldn't hold up for one kick, one kick, come on, dude.
15:11How much more you need to drill into your head that this guy's not that guy anymore.
