00:00From Nigerian Spider-Man to Turkish Captain America, here are some of the funniest and weirdest superhero movie imitations from
00:08different parts of the world.
00:10So let's get ready.
00:12But before we start, if you're new to our channel, make sure to subscribe so you'll always be updated with
00:18videos like this.
00:21This is Superman Returns, but not the version you're expecting.
00:25It's a movie made in Turkey called Superman Donyer, which means, yes, you guessed it right, Superman Returns.
00:41You sure about that?
00:47This was during the height of the popularity of Christopher Reeve's Superman movies.
00:50But unlike the original blockbusters, it seems like the budget for this one was quite different.
00:54In fact, it seemed like they only had enough money to buy a Superman doll.
01:01This is one of the most blatant rip-offs in the history of film.
01:05It repeatedly uses copyrighted music.
01:09I had to replace those in this video.
01:15But in the original, you'll hear the famous Superman theme song several times.
01:19Even more surprising, they also used the James Bond theme song.
01:24What's funny is, they didn't even use it in an exciting scene.
01:28While the action music is playing, the main characters just casually walking down the street.
01:33But honestly, there aren't really any exciting scenes in the whole movie.

02:06And a moment later, a simple wooden stick was enough to knock him unconscious.
02:18Didn't they already try that earlier and it had no effect?
02:22But maybe we're just expecting too much from a Turkish Superman imitation from the 70s.
02:28Or maybe I'm just being too strict.
02:30Or maybe it's normal to want to watch a movie where I don't end up shaking my head at every
02:35scene.
02:36Overall, Superman Donor is a strange and very slow movie.
02:40At least, it has a decent story, but it's extremely boring pacing is a different story.
02:48Honestly, the most entertaining part of the whole movie is how the Turkish Superman seems to have a unique naughty
02:55vision.
02:56And since we're already talking about naughty things, what if someone made their own version of Batman?
03:04He can't control Stay, Doctor.
03:07That foreigner grew from his pineal gland.
03:09That almost naked wrestler helps solve crimes.
03:14This is Murciolago, a Mexican imitation of Batman that was released in 1968, but with a unique sexy concept.
03:23Instead of Batman, the main character is a Batwoman who is almost naked while fighting crime.
03:29Let's talk about the costume first.
03:31It looks like it was just bought from a cheap Halloween costume shop.
03:35This character is supposed to be rich, like the original Batman.
03:40Is that really all she can afford?
03:42From the looks of it, it seems like they didn't even have the budget to finish the whole costume.
03:46And what's even more confusing is that she actually has a better and more comic-accurate costume.
03:52But she still chooses to wear almost nothing.
03:56Isn't she cold?
03:57Doesn't she ever think that she might get stabbed or shot in the unprotected areas?
04:01And there are plenty of chances for that to happen.
04:03That could really happen, especially now that a strange villain is on the loose.
04:08Someone called Fishman.
04:09I'm not joking.
04:11The villain's evil plan is to create a mutant Fishman using the spinal fluid of wrestlers.
04:17I can't really remember a story like that in Detective Comics, but honestly, I like the character Fishman.
04:23I think he could be included in Batman's official lineup of villains.
04:27Just imagine how the actor felt wearing that rubber suit.
04:31Maybe at every job interview, he introduces himself that way.
04:35But the surprises don't end there.
04:38This movie also has one of the most boring car chases in film history.
04:44During the car chase, the music playing sounds like elevator music.
04:48It really does a great job of creating a feeling of intense tension.
04:52I really can't understand what was going through the minds of the people who made this.
04:57Or maybe I have an idea.
04:58And I'm pretty sure they're not using their brains when making those decisions.
05:02Let's not beat around the bush anymore.
05:05This is really the main reason why this movie was made.
05:09Every scene from the rubber Fishman to the extremely boring car chase seems to have been made just to justify
05:15the main character's costume.
05:17Was it worth it?
05:19Well, you be the judge.
05:21Now, if there's one superhero who can match Batman's fame and earnings, it's none other than our favorite neighbor, Spider
05:29-Man.
05:29He is well known for the saying, with great power comes great responsibility.
05:34Or maybe not.
05:35It's time for a unique change.
05:38This is Japanese Spider-Man.
05:41A version of the character who prefers to use a machine gun and wipe out enemies, rather than preach about
05:47responsibility.
05:48But surprisingly, Japanese Spider-Man is not actually a fake imitation.
05:53In the 70s, Marvel made a deal with a Japanese media company to allow each other to use their characters.
06:01And this series is the result of that agreement.
06:05Unlike the original Spider-Man, this version is an ordinary man who was given extraordinary powers by a spider-like
06:14being from space after it crashed in Japan.
06:16That spider was the last survivor from Planet Spider, and the army that destroyed their planet is now heading to
06:24Earth.
06:25Using a special bracelet, Takuya Yamashiro transforms into Spider-Man to fight the approaching threat.
06:31And that's not all.
06:32He also has his own giant robot.
06:35Now, you might be thinking, hold on, that actually sounds pretty cool.
06:39And you're right, Japanese Spider-Man is really, really awesome.
06:41And it's one of the most unique versions of the character.
06:45Even though the series only lasted from 1978 to 1979, it had a huge influence.
06:51In fact, because of its success, Toei included giant robots in their Super Sentai series.
06:57Yes, that's the same series that became Power Rangers in other countries.
07:01But unfortunately, not all versions of Spider-Man are as good.
07:06And even more so, not all adaptations are worth watching.
07:09Behold Spider-Man Nun.
07:11This is a movie made in Ghana, and one of the first things you'll notice here is the very ugly
07:18Clip Artweb logo that looks like it was taken directly from a computer in the early 90s.
07:23In this version, Peter Parker wasn't bitten by a radioactive spider.
07:28Instead, an ordinary man was possessed by the spirit of an ancient spider god.
07:33And that's not all.
07:35He was also possessed by the ghost of a murdered woman.
07:38Whenever they appear in a scene, they even sing in a strange way.
07:43If you think that made the story clearer, not at all.
07:47Then there's a bowl that just gets opened for no reason.
07:50And honestly, I had a hard time paying attention to any scene that didn't involve this strange Spider-Man.
07:57I felt like my brain was hurting while watching the movie.
08:00He also has a villain who worships an evil god.
08:04Honestly, there's just something that looks like a floating image appearing on the screen.
08:08And I think that's supposed to be the god they're talking about.
08:12Don't expect me to give any more intelligent comments about this.
08:15I don't even know what's happening anymore.
08:18I've never watched a movie like this before.
08:20In one scene, there's a drunk man threatening his wife.
08:24In the next, there's a ghost of a woman killing someone on the side of the road.
08:29After that, African Spider-Man suddenly appears and shows off his kung fu skills.
08:34What am I really supposed to say?
08:37For the first time, I'm almost speechless.
08:39All I can do now is show you what I saw so your eyes can experience the same suffering.
08:45But seriously, what is really happening?
08:48What is the message supposed to be?
08:50Is he drunk?
08:51Wasn't he just shooting energy balls a while ago?
08:54Why does it seem like he doesn't have any bones in his body now?
08:57In the end, Spider-Man and the villain finally faced each other for the much-anticipated big battle.
09:03If I were to describe my experience watching this movie, there were times when it was so bad that it
09:09actually became funny.
09:10The way Spider-Man does push-ups while pretending to be scary, and the way he spins around like he's
09:17drunk, has a unique charm.
09:20But in other parts, I felt like I was undergoing a strange kind of punishment.
09:25It's clear that not everyone can make a good movie, but that didn't stop them from trying anyway.
09:31Let's get to know Brent Kelly, a Canadian writer, director, and actor who is more widely known around the world
09:37for not being particularly skilled in any of those three.
09:41He has made a lot of low-quality movies, but what we want to talk about today is this one.
09:48This movie is also known as Thor, Thunder, and Steel.
09:52It was released in 2011 as a mockbuster, a movie intentionally made to resemble a popular film so that consumers
09:59might mistake it for the real one.
10:01In other words, they're hoping that some grandparents will accidentally buy this for their grandchildren, thinking it's the real Thor.
10:08But it's clear that this isn't Chris Hemsworth.
10:11If you were asked what the best way to start a movie is, what would you choose?
10:16An intense action scene?
10:18A mysterious event?
10:20No.
10:21According to Brent Kelly, the best introduction is almost three straight minutes of continuous explanation,
10:28shown using JPEG images of Odin and Thor, as if you're just watching a PowerPoint presentation.
10:34Despite the title The Return of Thor, the story doesn't actually follow Thor.
10:38Instead, the god of thunder passes his power to a scientist named Grant.
10:43What does Grant do?
10:45He creates a suit that's clearly inspired by Iron Man.
10:49After he gained Thor's power, he could summon lightning with his hands and wore his armor.
10:55Honestly, he looks more like Electric Man than Thor.
10:58If that had been the title of the movie, maybe I would have thought better of it.
11:03But that's not what happened.
11:05Almost every scene is filled with overacting and unnatural dialogue.
11:10It feels like you're watching the very first student film of a beginner filmmaker.
11:15But my favorite part of all isn't the poor acting, nor the messy story, but the amazing special effects.
11:23Honestly, I have no idea where Brent Kelly got that dragon model.
11:27It just looks like a cheap animated gif bought online for a few dollars.
11:32Is that really the best Asgard can offer?
11:35But how did the hero defeat the terrifying dragon?
11:39His lightning had no effect on it.
11:41You'd think that with all the movies Brent Kelly has made over the years,
11:45he would have learned how to create a scene with weight and impact.
11:49But apparently not.
11:51The finale of this movie seriously lacks power, emotion, and tension.
11:56Honestly, Brent Kelly's filmography seems like a big stain on the world of entertainment.
12:02This is a terrible joke with no punchline,
12:05and its only reason for existing is to torture the viewers.
12:09With each passing day, it feels like we're moving further away from good movies
12:14and closer to a JPEG version of Odin.
12:17But what else does he have to offer?
12:20Let's take a look at another one of his very original ideas,
12:24Iron Soldier, which was released in 2010.
12:27It's clear that this movie was made to take advantage of the popularity of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man.
12:33But it didn't stop there.
12:35According to a review on IMDB written by the German user M. Grebenstein,
12:40the title of the movie in Germany is Captain USA.
12:44The Iron Soldier.
12:45This means it didn't just copy Iron Man.
12:48It also tried to copy Captain America.
12:51It doesn't matter anymore if all the characters are obviously Canadian.
12:55So, the question is,
12:56have they combined Iron Man and Captain America?
12:59But is the result good?
13:01No.
13:02In many ways, Iron Soldier is even worse than Thunderstorm,
13:06the return of Thor.
13:07There are scenes where the soldiers are expressionless
13:10and just randomly firing their guns,
13:12straight ahead,
13:14even though their enemies are in the air.
13:15And here's another mystery.
13:18Where did that laser even come from?
13:21If Iron Soldier was hiding on top of the tree the whole time,
13:24how did that happen?
13:25And now, behold what could be considered the eighth wonder of the world.
13:29The most unbelievable mother and child relationship in the history of film.
13:34They really don't seem like mother and child.
13:38Even though the movie tries to look like Iron Man,
13:41it hardly has any connection to the original story.
13:44The so-called Iron Soldier is not a suit of armor worn by a person.
13:48It turns out it's a robot controlled remotely.
13:52The story revolves around a group of mercenaries who want to steal that robot.
13:56And, of course, all sorts of chaos follow.
14:00Needless to say, this movie is a mess.
14:03While I was watching it,
14:05I felt more embarrassed than entertained.
14:08And just think,
14:09I'm even getting paid to watch this.
14:16I'm getting paid to watch this.
