00:00Have you ever asked God for something and wondered why He hasn't answered yet?
00:04You've prayed, you've trusted, you've waited, but the breakthrough still hasn't come.
00:10If you've ever felt like God is taking too long, today's message is for you.
00:15Because what feels like a delay to us may actually be God's perfect timing.
00:21One of the hardest lessons we learn as followers of Christ is how to wait.
00:26We live in a world that celebrates speed. We want fast internet, fast food, same-day delivery, instant answers.
00:35We expect everything to happen immediately, and without realizing it, we sometimes bring that same expectation into our relationship with
00:43God.
00:44We pray today and expect the answer tomorrow.
00:48We ask God for healing, for provision, for restoration, for guidance, for open doors.
00:55And when those answers don't come as quickly as we'd hoped, discouragement begins to creep into our hearts.
01:01We start asking difficult questions.
01:04God, did you hear me? Have you forgotten about me?
01:07Why are you blessing everyone else while I'm still waiting?
01:11If you've ever felt that way, you're not alone.
01:15Many of God's greatest servants experienced long seasons of waiting.
01:19Think about Abraham.
01:21God promised that he would become the father of many nations, yet years passed before that promise was fulfilled.
01:29Think about Joseph.
01:30God gave him dreams of leadership while he was still a young man.
01:34But before he ever wore the robe of a ruler, he wore the clothes of a slave and sat in
01:40the darkness of a prison cell.
01:42Think about David.
01:43He was anointed as the future king while he was still a shepherd.
01:48Yet, instead of immediately sitting on the throne, he spent years running for his life, hiding in caves, and trusting
01:56God through hardship.
01:57What do these stories have in common?
02:00God always kept his promises, but he fulfilled them according to his timing, not theirs.
02:07And perhaps that's the lesson God is teaching many of us today.
02:11Sometimes we think we're waiting on God, but in reality, God is preparing us for what we're waiting for.
02:19Imagine if Joseph had become ruler before learning humility.
02:23Imagine if David had become king before learning dependence on God.
02:28Imagine if Abraham had never learned to trust God's promises beyond what his eyes could see.
02:34Preparation always comes before promotion.
02:37The waiting season is often God's classroom.
02:41It's where faith grows.
02:43It's where character is refined.
02:45It's where pride is replaced with humility.
02:48It's where dependence on God becomes stronger than dependence on ourselves.
02:53Waiting is not wasted when God is involved.
02:57Just because you don't see movement doesn't mean God isn't moving.
03:01Think about a farmer.
03:03After planting a seed, he doesn't dig it up every morning to see if it's growing.
03:07He waters it, he protects it, and he trusts the process.
03:12Growth happens beneath the surface long before it becomes visible.
03:17The same is true in your spiritual life.
03:20God may be doing some of his greatest work in places you cannot yet see.
03:25Perhaps he's opening doors you don't know about.
03:28Perhaps he's protecting you from opportunities that would ultimately harm you.
03:32Perhaps he's aligning people and circumstances that will become clear at exactly the right time.
03:39What feels like a delay could actually be God's protection.
03:43How many times have we looked back and realized that a prayer God didn't answer immediately
03:48turned out to be one of his greatest acts of love?
03:52There are blessings we were not ready to receive.
03:55There are relationships that needed healing first.
03:58There were lessons we needed to learn.
04:01There were doors God lovingly kept closed because he knew what was waiting on the other side.
04:07Our perspective is limited.
04:10God's perspective is eternal.
04:12He sees the beginning and the end at the same time.
04:16That's why his timing is always perfect.
04:19The waiting may feel difficult today,
04:22but one day you'll look back and thank God that he didn't answer according to your schedule.
04:28He answered according to his wisdom.
04:31Ecclesiastes 3 verse 11 says,
04:34He has made everything beautiful in its time.
04:37Notice that scripture doesn't say our time.
04:40It says his time.
04:43God specializes in beautiful endings.
04:46But beautiful endings often require patient waiting.
04:49Another powerful reminder comes from Isaiah 40 verse 31.
04:54But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
04:58They will soar on wings like eagles.
05:01They will run and not grow weary.
05:03They will walk and not faint.
05:06Waiting on God doesn't weaken us.
05:08It strengthens us.
05:10Maybe today you're waiting for healing.
05:13Maybe you're praying for a job.
05:15Perhaps you're asking God to restore a relationship.
05:18Maybe you're waiting for clarity about your future.
05:22Whatever you're waiting for,
05:24don't let disappointment steal your faith.
05:27Instead of asking,
05:28Why is God making me wait?
05:30Try asking,
05:32What is God teaching me while I wait?
05:35Every season has purpose.
05:37Even this one.
05:38Continue praying.
05:40Continue reading his word.
05:42Continue serving faithfully.
05:44Continue worshiping even when you don't yet see the answer.
05:49Because faith isn't trusting God only after the miracle.
05:54Faith is trusting him before the miracle arrives.
05:58Remember, God's delays are never God's denials.
06:03If he has made you a promise,
06:05he is faithful to fulfill it in the right way and at the right time.
06:11Let's pray.
06:12Heavenly Father,
06:14Thank you for reminding us that your timing is always perfect.
06:18Forgive us for the times we've become impatient or doubted your plans
06:23because we couldn't see what you were doing.
06:26Lord, teach us to trust you in the waiting.
06:29Strengthen our faith when answers seem delayed.
06:32And help us remember that you are always working,
06:36even when we cannot see it.
06:39For those waiting for healing,
06:41bring comfort and restoration.
06:43For those waiting for provision,
06:46open the right doors in your perfect time.
06:49For those carrying heavy burdens,
06:52fill them with peace that only you can give.
06:56Help us become people who trust your heart,
06:59even when we don't understand your schedule.
07:03Thank you for your faithfulness that never changes.
07:07We believe that every promise you have spoken
07:10will come to pass according to your perfect will.
07:14In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
07:17Amen.
07:19Before we finish today,
07:21I want to leave you with this thought.
07:23The same God who was faithful to Abraham.
07:26The same God who lifted Joseph from the prison to the palace.
07:31The same God who established David as king
07:35is the same God who is writing your story.
07:39He has not forgotten you.
07:41He has not abandoned you.
07:43And he is never late.
07:46He is working even now.
07:48So don't lose hope.
07:50Keep trusting.
07:52Keep praying.
07:53Keep walking by faith.
07:55Your breakthrough will come.
07:58Not a moment too early and not a moment too late,
08:01but at exactly the right time.
