00:00I want to speak this over your life today.
00:02God is about to open a door you can't even imagine.
00:06You've been praying.
00:07You've been waiting.
00:08You've been walking through seasons that don't make sense.
00:12And maybe you've been staring at closed doors so long that you've started to wonder,
00:17is God even listening?
00:19But I came to remind you, a closed door does not mean a closed destiny.
00:24Sometimes God has to close a door you wanted so he can open a door you never dreamed of.
00:29Let's look at Revelation 3.8.
00:32You see, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.
00:36Notice what it doesn't say.
00:38It doesn't say you placed the door there.
00:40It doesn't say they placed the door there.
00:42It says God placed it there, which means you don't have to manipulate it.
00:47You don't have to force it.
00:48You don't have to beg for it.
00:49If God put the door there, nothing in hell or on earth can keep it closed.
00:54But here's the thing.
00:55God's doors don't always look like doors when you first see them.
01:00Sometimes they look like detours.
01:03Sometimes they look like delays.
01:05Sometimes they look like disappointments.
01:07Think about Joseph.
01:09If anyone knew about closed doors, it was Joseph.
01:12His brother slammed the door of betrayal in his face when they threw him into that pit.
01:16Potiphar's wife slammed the door of lies and false accusations when he ended up in prison.
01:22At every step, it seemed like life was shutting him out.
01:26But what Joseph didn't realize was that every unknown was moving him toward God's yes.
01:30Every locked door was leading him to the one open door that would change everything, the palace door.
01:38You see, the pit wasn't the end.
01:40The prison wasn't permanent.
01:41They were just passageways.
01:43And when Joseph finally stepped through that palace door, he realized that God's plan was bigger than his pain.
01:50That open door wasn't just for Joseph.
01:52It was for an entire nation.
01:55And that's what I want you to catch.
01:57The door God's about to open in your life is not just for you.
02:01It's for the people connected to you.
02:03The breakthrough he's about to bring isn't just about elevating you.
02:07It's about blessing through you.
02:09But here's where it gets real.
02:11Wait on God's door can feel like waiting in the dark.
02:14You're praying, but nothing's happening.
02:17You're knocking, but nobody's answering.
02:19You're faithful, but you don't feel fruitful.
02:22That's when the enemy whispers us, see?
02:24God forgot you.
02:25That door is never going to open.
02:27But let me remind you of something.
02:29God's silence is not God's absence.
02:32Just because you don't see the door moving doesn't mean he's not working the hinges behind the scenes.
02:38In Acts 12, Peter was locked up in prison, chained between guards.
02:42Every physical door was closed.
02:44But in the middle of the night, an angel of the Lord showed up, woke Peter up.
02:49And the Bible says the chains fell off.
02:51Then, get this, the door of the prison opened by itself.
02:56Peter didn't have to push it.
02:57He didn't have to kick it down.
02:59He didn't even have to pick the lock.
03:00The Bible says the gate opened automatically.
03:03Some of you are trying so hard to make things happen in your own strength.
03:07And God is saying, let's stop push driving.
03:11The door I'm opening for you doesn't need your hustle.
03:14It just needs your obedience.
03:16You don't have to force open what God has already ordained open.
03:20But let me give you a warning.
03:22Don't mistake a hallway for a dead end.
03:24Sometimes God will let you walk down a hallway lined with closed doors just to get you to
03:30the right one.
03:32And if you quit too soon, if you stop walking, stop believing, stop knocking, you might miss
03:38the one door that was about to swing wide.
03:41Jesus said in Matthew 7, Matthew 7, ask and it will be given to you.
03:46Seek and you will find.
03:47Knock and the door will be opened to you.
03:50Notice the progression.
03:52Ask, seek, knock.
03:53In other words, keep going.
03:55Don't stop after the first prayer.
03:57Don't stop after the first attempt.
03:59Keep knocking.
04:00Because the God who promises faithful to open the door.
04:03Some of you are standing in front of a door that looks locked.
04:06But it's really just waiting for you to knock again.
04:09And when that door opens, it's going to make sense why every other door had to stay shut.
04:15The relationship that didn't work out, it had to close because it wasn't
04:19part of the destiny God was designing.
04:21The opportunity that fell through, it had to shut because it couldn't carry the weight
04:26of what God is calling you to.
04:29You've been asking God for the door you want, but God's about to open the door you need.
04:34Think about Paul.
04:35He wanted to preach in certain regions, but the Bible says in Acts 16 that the Holy Spirit
04:42kept closing the door.
04:43That must have been frustrating.
04:44But then Paul had a vision of a man in Macedonia saying, come help us.
04:50And Paul realized God wasn't closing doors to punish him.
04:53He was closing doors to position him.
04:57Closed doors aren't rejection.
04:59They're redirection.
05:00So here's my word for you.
05:01Don't curse the closed doors.
05:04They're making room for the open door that's about to change everything.
05:09And when God opens it, it won't be small.
05:12It won't be ordinary.
05:13It won't be what you could have done on your own.
05:16It will be a door so big, so unexpected, so undeniable that you'll know it was God and
05:21God alone.
05:23So don't lose heart in the hallway.
05:25Don't give up while you're waiting.
05:27Don't stop knocking.
05:29Because the same God who opened prison doors for Peter, palace doors for Joseph, and ministry
05:35doors for Paul is the God who's about to open a door for you.
05:39And when he does, you won't just walk through it.
05:42You'll step into a destiny you never imagined.
05:45God is about to open a door you can't even imagine.
05:49A closed door is not a closed destiny.
05:52I know what it feels like to stand in front of a door that won't budge.
05:55You prayed about it.
05:57You worked for it.
05:58You knocked until your knuckles were raw and still the door didn't open.
06:03It feels like a rejection letter stamped across your soul.
06:06And it can make you wonder if maybe God forgot about you.
06:11But Jeremiah 29, 11 reminds us of something that changes everything.
06:16For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm
06:22you, plans to give you hope and a future.
06:25Notice who knows the plan.
06:27It's not you.
06:28It's not them.
06:29It's God.
06:30And if God knows the plan, then a closed door cannot cancel what he already declared.
06:35Sometimes the greatest blessings in your life are wrapped in the disappointment of a door
06:40that didn't open.
06:42You thought you'd marry that person, but the door closed.
06:45You thought that job was the one, but the door closed.
06:48You thought the opportunity you were chasing was the breakthrough, but the door closed.
06:53And in the moment, it felt like failure.
06:55But later, you'll look back and realize that if that door had opened, it would have led you
07:00to a hallway you didn't belong in.
07:02God saw what you couldn't see.
07:05God knew what you didn't know.
07:06And in his mercy, he shut the door not to harm you, but to protect you.
07:10You think about Joseph in the book of Genesis, he had a dream from God, but instead of walking
07:16into open doors, every door seemed to slam in his face.
07:21His brothers closed the door of betrayal when they sold him into slavery.
07:25Hodafar's wife closed the door of false accusation when she lied about him.
07:31The prison walls closed the door of limitation when he was locked up for something he didn't
07:35do.
07:36But here's what Joseph didn't understand at the time.
07:39Those closed doors were actually guiding him to the one door that would fulfill his
07:44destiny.
07:45If his brothers had never thrown him into that pit, he never would have ended up in Egypt.
07:51If he had never been falsely accused, he never would have been positioned in prison
07:55to interpret the dream of Pharaoh's cupbearer.
07:58Every closed door was redirecting him to the palace where he would save not only his family,
08:04but an entire nation from famine.
08:06And you may be in a season where it feels like doors are slamming shut in your face.
08:11But don't confuse a closed door with a closed destiny.
08:14God's plan doesn't stop because one opportunity didn't work out.
08:19His plan doesn't get canceled because a person walked out.
08:23His plan doesn't crumble because your timeline didn't match his.
08:27When God says, I know the plans I have for you, he's reminding you that his plan is intact.
08:33Even when your plan falls apart, I want to make it real.
08:37Have you ever looked back on something you wanted so badly?
08:41And now you're thanking God he didn't give it to you.
08:44You thought that relationship was the one, but now you can see that if you had walked through
08:49that door, it would have broken you.
08:51You thought that career path was the way, but now you realize it would have trapped you
08:56in a life smaller than what God had for you.
08:59What looked like a rejection was really protection.
09:03That's why you can't judge God's goodness based on whether a door opens or shuts.
09:07You have to trust that the one who knows the plans is guiding you with purpose.
09:11And here's what I've learned.
09:13When God closes a door, he always does it with something better in mind.
09:17Not always easier, not always quicker, but always better.
09:22He's not just managing your presence, he's designing your future.
09:26That means the no you heard today is often the preparation for the yes you'll see tomorrow.
09:32It's why he says a plan's to prosper you and not to harm you.
09:36Because even when it feels like harm, he's working it for hope.
09:40Even when it feels like loss, he's using it for life.
09:43Even when it feels like a setback, he's setting you up for something greater than you could
09:48have imagined.
09:48The problem is we often stop at the closed door.
09:52We stand there staring at it, crying over it, rehearsing the pain of it.
09:57And while we're fixated on the door that closed, we miss the hallway God is leading us down.
10:02What if the closed door you're grieving over is the very thing that's making room for the
10:07open praying for?
10:08What if the rejection you thought was the end of your story is actually the turning point
10:15in your testimony?
10:16You have to understand that a closed door doesn't define you, it refines you.
10:22It shuts your character, deepens your faith, and trains you to trust God instead of circumstances.
10:27Every time a door closes, it's an invitation to lean into the God who holds the keys.
10:33Because the same God who shuts doors is the God who opens them.
10:37And when he opens one, no man, no devil, no circumstance can shut it.
10:42So maybe you're standing in front of a closed door right now.
10:46Maybe it's the loss of a job, the end of a relationship, the denial of an opportunity.
10:51It feels final.
10:52It feels cruel.
10:54It feels like destiny died.
10:56But I want you to hear this.
10:57That closed door is not the end of your story.
11:00It's part of the process.
11:01God is still writing.
11:02God is still working.
11:03God is still moving.
11:05And he knows the plans he has for you.
11:08Plans to prosper you, not to harm you.
11:10Plans to give you hope in a future.
11:13God's open doors can look like detours, delays, or disappointments.
11:17It's easy to believe God is working when everything falls into place.
11:21When the timing feels perfect.
11:23And when opportunities line up exactly the way we imagined.
11:27But what about when the road gets longer instead of shorter?
11:31What about when you thought you were stepping into a blessing, but instead you found yourself in a battle?
11:38Romans 8, 28 gives us a truth to hold on to in those moments.
11:42And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
11:49Sometimes the door you prayed for doesn't open when you expected, not because God said no, but because he's preparing you to walk through it at the right time.
12:18And sometimes the door he opens doesn't look like a blessing at first glance.
12:23It looks like a setback.
12:25It feels like a mistake.
12:27But later you'll see it was a setup for something far greater.
12:30Think about Moses.
12:31When God called him to lead Israel out of Egypt, that seemed like a wide open door.
12:37Freedom was coming.
12:39Deliverance was near.
12:40But before they could enter the promised land, they had to wander in the wilderness for 40 years.
12:46That wasn't a shortcut.
12:47It was a detour.
12:49It didn't make sense.
12:51Why would God open a door to freedom only to lead them into a desert?
12:55Because the wilderness wasn't wasted.
12:57It was shaping them, teaching them, preparing.
12:59What looked like a detour was actually the direct route to destiny.
13:03Because God knew if they entered the promised land without first learning to depend on him, they wouldn't survive when they got there.
13:10Sometimes God will let you take the long way around, not to punish you, but to prepare you.
13:16Because the place he's taking you requires a version of you that you're not yet ready to be.
13:22The detour is the training ground for the destiny, and there are the delays.
13:27Have you ever prayed for something and felt like God was taking way too long to answer?
13:31You expected the door to swing wide immediately, but it stayed shut.
13:36You thought the opportunity would come in weeks, but it's been years.
13:40You assumed the healing, the breakthrough, the restoration would happen overnight, but you're still waiting.
13:46The delay makes you question whether God heard you at all.
13:49But the truth is, sometimes the delay is the blessing.
13:53Because God's timing is perfect.
13:55If he opened the door too early, you might not be ready to walk through it.
13:59If he gave you what you asked for before you were prepared to handle it, the blessing would crush you instead of build you think about Sarah and Abraham.
14:07God promised them a son, but decades passed without the promise coming true.
14:13Delay after delay until finally, in their old age, Isaac was born.
14:18From their perspective, it was too late.
14:20From God's perspective, it was right on time.
14:23Because the delay proved that the promise wasn't dependent on their strength, but on his power.
14:28That's what delays do.
14:30They strip away our dependence on ourselves so we can fully trust in him, and then there are the disappointments.
14:37The times when you thought the door that opened was the one, but when you stepped through it, it didn't look like you imagined.
14:43Maybe you got the job, but lost it.
14:46Maybe the relationship started strong, but ended in heartbreak.
14:50Maybe the opportunity you celebrated turned into the trial you never expected.
14:55It's easy to get bitter in those moments, to assume God misled you.
15:00But what if the disappointment is actually an open door disguised in a way you didn't recognize?
15:06What if the thing that looks like it fell apart is the very thing God will use to build you up?
15:11Look at the life of Paul.
15:13He planned to preach in Asia, but Acts 16 tells us the Holy Spirit wouldn't allow him.
15:19It must have felt disappointing to have his plans shut down.
15:22But then God gave him a vision of a man in Macedonia saying,
15:26How come help us?
15:28That disappointment redirected Paul into a mission that changed history.
15:33The gospel reached Europe because of that redirection.
15:37What felt like a disappointing closed door was really the opening of a greater one.
15:42That's why Romans 8.28 is so powerful.
15:45We know that in all things God works for the good.
15:48Not that all things are good.
15:49Not that everything feels good.
15:51But that God works all things together for good.
15:55Detours, delays, disappointments.
15:58He weaves them into the story in such a way that when you look back, you'll see his hand all over it.
16:04Maybe you're walking through a detour right now and it feels like you're wasting time.
16:08Maybe you're in the middle of a delay and your faith is wearing thin.
16:12Maybe you're facing disappointment and you can't see any good in it.
16:16But don't judge the chapter before the book is finished.
16:19God is still writing.
16:20The door he's opening for you may not look like a door at first, but when you walk through it, you'll see why he took you this way.
16:29Because God's open doors don't always come gift-wrapped in success and convenience.
16:35Sometimes they come dressed as obstacles, setbacks, and frustrations.
16:39But if you trust him, if you keep walking, if you keep believing, you'll discover that the detours built your strength, the delays built your faith, and the disappointments positioned you exactly where you needed to be.
16:52And in the end, the door you walk through will be far greater than anything you imagined when you first started knocking.
16:59Closed doors are not rejection.
17:01They are redirection.
17:03There are moments in life when you thought you knew exactly where God was leading you.
17:08And then all of a sudden, the door you were walking towards slammed shut.
17:12You prayed about it.
17:13You fasted for it.
17:14You believed it was the path.
17:16And then everything fell apart.
17:18In those moments, the enemy loves to whisper, see, God doesn't care about you.
17:23That's rejection.
17:24But Acts 16, 6 tells us a different story.
17:28Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.
17:38Think about that.
17:39Paul wasn't being kept out of Asia by Satan.
17:42He was being redirected by the Holy Spirit.
17:45What looked like a closed door was really God guiding him to a greater assignment.
17:50We usually see closed doors as failure, the relationship that ended, the job we didn't get, the dream that didn't unfold the way we imagined.
17:59And we internalize it as if something is wrong with us.
18:03But what if the door didn't close because you weren't good enough?
18:07What if it closed because God loves you too much to let you waste your life in the wrong place?
18:11Closed doors aren't rejection.
18:14They're rerouting.
18:16They're God's way of saying, I know what you can't see.
18:20I know the danger you don't know about.
18:22I know the opportunity that's waiting just a few steps down the road.
18:25Think about Paul again.
18:27He wanted to go to Asia, but the Spirit said no.
18:30From Paul's perspective, that must have felt confusing.
18:34He was trying to preach the gospel.
18:35How could that be wrong?
18:38But the very next verses tell us that Paul had a vision of a man in Macedonia saying, come over and help us.
18:45If the door to Asia had opened, Paul never would have gone to Macedonia.
18:50And if Paul never went to Macedonia, the gospel never would have spread into Europe.
18:54That one closed door changed the trajectory of Christianity forever.
18:58What looked like rejection in the moment turned out to be redirection for the mission.
19:04Sometimes we want God to bless our plan, but God is committed to fulfilling his plan.
19:10And when the two don't line up, he will close the door.
19:13Not because he doesn't love us, but because he does.
19:16Closed doors are often the greatest evidence of God's protection.
19:20That opportunity you lost, the deal that fell through, the friendship that ended, it wasn't rejection.
19:27God wasn't denying you.
19:29He was directing you.
19:30We have to stop taking closed doors personally.
19:33Too many of us carry around bitterness because a season didn't work out the way we hoped.
19:39We assume that closed door is the final word on our future.
19:43But when one door closes, God isn't saying your life is over.
19:46He's saying your story isn't finished yet.
19:49He's shifting you, positioning you, guiding you.
19:54You didn't lose when the door closed.
19:56You were led.
19:57I remember hearing someone say, a rejection is just God's way of protecting you from what you don't yet see.
20:04And I believe that's true.
20:05You may not see the toxic relationship he rescued you from.
20:08You may not see the burnout that job would have brought.
20:12You may not see the pain that opportunity would have caused.
20:15But God saw it, and in his mercy, he shut the door.
20:20Not to punish you, but to protect you.
20:22Not to block you, but to bless you.
20:24It reminds me of Joseph again.
20:27He was rejected by his brothers, sold into slavery, and thrown into prison.
20:32From the outside, it looked like one rejection after another.
20:35But every so-called rejection was really a redirection.
20:40If his brothers hadn't sold him, he never would have ended up in Egypt.
20:44If Potiphar's wife hadn't falsely accused him, he never would have met the cupbearer.
20:50If he hadn't been in prison, he never would have been brought before Pharaoh.
20:55He never would have been in position to save his family from famine.
20:59What looked like rejection was actually the hand of God, guiding him step by step toward
21:05his destiny.
21:06Closed doors force us to trust vision more than our own.
21:10Because when you don't understand why the door's shut, you have to lean on the truth that
21:16he does.
21:17Proverbs 3, 5, 6 says,
21:19A trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
21:24And all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight.
21:28But the straight path isn't always the shortest path.
21:31Sometimes it's the path of closed doors, the path of detours, the path of waiting rooms.
21:36But if you keep trusting, you'll see that every door that shut was just pointing you closer
21:41to the one that will open.
21:43Maybe you've been standing in front of a closed door lately.
21:47Maybe you feel like life has said no to your dreams, no to your prayers, no to your hopes.
21:52Don't let the enemy convince you that you're rejected.
21:54Lift your head, because the God who closes doors is the same God who opens them.
22:00And if he shut this one, it's only because he has something greater ahead.
22:05The rejection you feel today is often the redirection that will make sense tomorrow.
22:11And when you finally see it, you'll thank him for every door that didn't open.
22:14The door God opens for you is not just for you, but for those connected to you.
22:21We live in a world that tells us everything is about us.
22:24Our dreams, our goals, our success.
22:27But the kingdom of God works differently.
22:29When God blesses you, it's never just about you.
22:32The open door in your life is often the answer to prayers you don't even know someone else is praying.
22:38Genesis 50, 20 says, you intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
22:47Joseph spoke those words to his brothers after years of betrayal, pain, and loss.
22:52He realized that the door God opened for him wasn't just about elevating him to a position of power.
22:59It was about saving countless others.
23:01When Joseph was sitting in the pit, when he was locked in prison, he probably thought the dream God gave him was only about him.
23:10But the dream wasn't about his glory.
23:12It was about God's glory and the good of many.
23:15That's why God was so intentional with every step of Joseph's journey.
23:19The open door of Pharaoh's palace wasn't the end of Joseph's story.
23:23It was the beginning of a bigger assignment.
23:26His elevation was tied to the preservation of others.
23:29That's how God works.
23:30He blesses you so you can be a blessing.
23:33He opens a door in your life so others can walk through the ripple effect of your obedience.
23:39Some of you don't realize it yet.
23:41But the breakthrough you've been waiting for isn't just going to change your life.
23:45It's going to change your family.
23:48The promotion you're believing for isn't just about your paycheck.
23:53It's about the people who will be impacted by the influence God gives you.
23:57The healing you're praying for isn't just about your body.
24:01It's about the testimony that will build faith in someone else who's barely hanging on.
24:06The open door God is preparing has connections you don't even see yet.
24:10Think about David.
24:12When he stepped through the door of the battlefield to face Goliath.
24:15It wasn't about his reputation.
24:18It wasn't about proving himself.
24:20That door was about saving a nation that had been paralyzed in fear.
24:25One young shepherd's obedience to step through an unexpected door released courage and victory for an entire people.
24:32The stone wasn't just for Goliath.
24:34It was for Israel.
24:35And when David defeated the giant, everyone connected to him walked into freedom.
24:40The same is true for you.
24:43The door God opens in your life carries a ripple effect that will impact more people than you can count.
24:49That's why the enemy fights you so hard in the hallway.
24:53He knows that if you'll ever step through that door, it won't just change you.
24:57It'll change everyone tied to you.
25:00That's why he tries to convince you to quit, to settle, to stop believing.
25:05Because he knows if he can keep you from walking through, he can keep others from receiving what God wanted to give through you.
25:11Sometimes we underestimate the influence of our obedience.
25:16We think, it's just me.
25:18I'm not important enough to make a difference.
25:21But you have no idea who is watching you persevere through your trial.
25:24You have no idea how your faith in the middle of hardship is planting seeds in the people around you.
25:31You have no idea how many lives will be changed when you refuse to quit in the hallway and step boldly through the door.
25:38God finally opens and here's the thing.
25:41The door might not look glamorous.
25:43It might not even look like a door you would choose.
25:46But when you walk through it in obedience, God uses it to bring breakthrough not just for you, but for the people connected to you.
25:53Your children, your co-workers, your community, even people you don't know yet.
25:59That's why the Bible says in Ephesians 3.20 that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.
26:08Because the open door is never just about your imagination.
26:11It's about his multiplication.
26:13Let's go back to Joseph.
26:14When he finally stood before his brothers, the very ones who betrayed him, he didn't hold bitterness.
26:20He didn't say, look what I accomplished in spite of you.
26:24He said, you intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.
26:29In other words, the harm you caused became the hallway God used to lead me to the door.
26:35And now because I walk through it, I get to save the very people who once hurt me.
26:40That's the power of an open door in God's hands.
26:43It takes pain and turns it into purpose.
26:45It takes betrayal and turns it into blessing.
26:49And it always impacts more than just you.
26:52Maybe you've been wondering why your journey has been so difficult.
26:55Why the doors took so long to open.
26:58Why you had to endure so many setbacks.
27:01Could it be because the door God is preparing for you carries more weight than you realize?
27:06Could it be that the blessing isn't just about you, but about generations after you?
27:10Could it be that the delay is because the door is designed to change more lives than just your own?
27:17That's why you can't give up.
27:19That's why you can't stop short.
27:21Because the door God is opening for you is carrying more than your destiny.
27:25It's carrying the destiny of those connected to you.
27:29And when you finally walk through it, you'll look back like Joseph and realize it was never just about you.
27:34It was about the saving of many lives.
27:36When God opens the door, no one can shut it.
27:41Revelation 3, 8 says, see, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.
27:47That means there are doors in your life that don't depend on your resume, your resources, or your reputation.
27:53They depend on God's authority.
27:55And when God decides it's time to open that door, no boss, no enemy, no situation, no system, no devil in hell can close it.
28:04We spend so much time worrying about who has the power to block us.
28:08We stress about people who don't like us, supervisors who overlook us, or circumstances that seem to work against us.
28:17But here's the truth.
28:18The door God opens is beyond human control.
28:22You don't need the approval of people when you already have the authority of God.
28:26If he opened it, it's open.
28:27Period, the challenge is that sometimes the door doesn't open when we want it to.
28:33And in that waiting period, we start to wonder if maybe the enemy is strong enough to stop it.
28:39But let me remind you, God's timing is perfect.
28:43If the door isn't open yet, it's not because the enemy is winning.
28:46It's because God is aligning things behind the scenes so that when the door does open, it's undeniable that it was him and not you.
28:56Because if you could have opened it in your own strength, you might have given yourself the credit.
29:01But when God opens it in his strength, only he gets the glory.
29:05Think about Peter in Acts 12.
29:07He was chained in prison, guarded on every side.
29:10And the Bible says the church was praying for him.
29:14In the middle of the night, an angel showed up.
29:16The chains fell off.
29:18And the prison doors opened by themselves.
29:20Peter didn't have to pick the lock or fight the guards.
29:23The door opened because God opened it.
29:26And no Roman soldier, no iron gate, no earthly authority could stop it.
29:31That's what it looks like when God says, I have placed before you an open door.
29:37It's not about your power.
29:38It's about his, some of you are in a season where it feels like doors have been locked for so long that you've started to accept the hallway as your home.
29:47You've convinced yourself maybe this is just the way life is going to be.
29:52But God says, see, I have placed before you an open door.
29:56Notice the word a see.
29:58Sometimes we don't recognize the door because we're too busy staring at the ones that are closed.
30:03Sometimes we're so focused on the opportunities that didn't work out that we miss the one God has already placed right in front of us.
30:11That's why perspective matters.
30:13You may think the door is closed because it hasn't swung wide yet, but God may be saying, it's already open.
30:21You just need to step into it.
30:23Fear will try to convince you the door isn't really open.
30:27Doubt will tell you that you're not qualified to walk through it.
30:30But faith says, if God placed it there, I'm stepping through no matter what I see around me.
30:36And let's be clear.
30:38When God opens a door, it doesn't mean the path is easy.
30:41Sometimes you'll face opposition even after you walk through it.
30:45Paul said in 1 Corinthians 16, 9, a great door for effective work is open to me.
30:51And there are many who oppose me.
30:54The open door doesn't guarantee the absence of obstacles, but it does guarantee the presence of God.
31:00The fact that you're facing opposition doesn't mean the door isn't open.
31:04It may mean you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
31:07I want you to think about Joshua and the walls of Jericho.
31:11God had promised them the land, but the wall stood in the way.
31:15From the outside, it looked like the door to Jericho was shut tight.
31:19But when they obeyed God's instructions and marched around those walls, the walls came down and the door was open.
31:26No enemy army could stop it.
31:28No fortified wall could hold it closed.
31:31Because when God opens the door, no one can shut it.
31:35This is why you don't have to live in fear of people trying to hold you back.
31:40You don't have to stress about who doesn't support you or who's working against you.
31:44They don't hold the keys.
31:47God does.
31:48He says in Revelation 3, 7, and what he opens, no one can shut.
31:52And what he shuts, no one can open.
31:54That means your future is not in their hands.
31:56It's in his.
31:58So stop giving people the power to discourage you when they never had the power to determine your destiny.
32:03Some of you have been walking around discouraged because you thought someone else had the authority to block your blessing.
32:11But the same God who parts seas, who brings down walls, who rolls away stones is the God who is opening doors for you.
32:19And when he says it's time, there isn't a force in this universe that can keep it shut.
32:24They may try to hold it back.
32:26They may try to stand in the way.
32:28But when God decrees the door is open, you might not feel ready.
32:33You might not feel qualified.
32:35You might not even feel worthy.
32:37But God didn't ask for your qualifications.
32:39He asked for your obedience.
32:41If he says the door is open, then it's open.
32:45Step through it with confidence, not in yourself, but in him.
32:49Because the same God who placed the door before you will give you the strength to walk through it.
32:54So the next time you face a situation that looks impossible, remind yourself of this truth.
33:00When God opens the door, no one can shut it.
33:03Not your past, not your failures, not your enemies, not even you.
33:07If he placed it before you, it's yours to walk through.
33:10Trust him.
33:11Believe him.
33:12And take the steps.
