00:34He also thanked Pakatan chairman Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim and the coalition's grassroots
00:39machinery, which he said had worked tirelessly in the constituency throughout the campaign.
00:46Masli expressed special appreciation to his wife and family for their prayers and patience,
00:51as well as Putriwangsa voters, for entrusting him with what he called an amanah this heavy.
00:57In Saturday's polls, Masli secured 41,821 votes to defeat Bahrisan national's Theo Chialing,
01:07who received 36,077 votes, winning the seat with a majority of 5,744 votes.
01:15The five-cornered contest also featured Muda's Rashifa Aljunid, Bersama's Nicholas Paul Vincent,
01:22and independent candidate Wang Wee Siong.
01:25Bahrisan national swept 48 of the 56 seats in the Johor election, while Pakatan Harapan won the remaining eight.
