Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride says former Conservative minister Ann Widdecombe was "very strong in her convictions. Not everybody agreed with her, but you knew where you stood," adding that he has very fond memories of her.

00:06We would go to church fates and garden fates and things like that.
00:10As somebody who was, as I say, very strong in her convictions.
00:14Not everybody agreed with her, but she knew where you stood.
00:17But equally, somebody who had a great personality, who could be quite witty, quite funny, had a twinkle in her
00:23eye and a particular laugh that I won't forget.
00:26And so I have fond memories of that.
