00:00Tonight, Epstein survivors exclusively telling CNN
00:02the convicted sex offender's long-time assistant lied to Congress.
00:06Leslie Groff testified that she was unaware of Epstein's crimes
00:10and never met the girls who would come to his house.
00:13But six of those survivors are sharing new details with CNN now
00:17about why they say she's lying,
00:20including one who first met Epstein when she was just about to turn 14 years old.
00:26MJ Lee is out front.
00:28If a girl wanted to meet Jeffrey Epstein, you had to go through Leslie Groff.
00:33Just literally tell the truth.
00:35Jeffrey Epstein survivors are outraged and calling out Leslie Groff
00:39after the long-time assistant to the convicted child sex offender
00:42spoke with the House Oversight Committee last month.
00:45CNN interviewed six Epstein victims, two of them on camera.
00:49They said Groff lied to Congress about key details,
00:52including whether she ever met any of the girls visiting Epstein
00:55or knew how old they were.
00:57She said, quote,
00:58To my knowledge, I never met any of these masseuses.
01:02What do you guys think about that?
01:03She's lying.
01:05She's lying.
01:06Just me and my friends, she's met at least three or four of us.
01:09I met Leslie multiple times in different locations.
01:15Gather today and taking the time.
01:16Marina Lacerda says she first met Epstein in 2002 when she was just shy of turning 14.
01:22Charlene Rashard says she was a young model working in New York City when she first met the financier.
01:28Do you have anything that you remember that leads you to think Leslie Groff knew how old you were?
01:35Of course, she knew how old we were because she had to look at our IDs to book our flight.
01:42How old is she?
01:43Where is she from?
01:44What does she look like?
01:45Where does she live?
01:47Is she going to school?
01:49These were top five questions by Leslie Groff.
01:52One Epstein survivor who spoke to CNN anonymously says she was 100 percent certain that Groff knew that she was
01:59a minor.
01:59I went to a private Catholic school and she would always ask me to leave school early, the woman told
02:04CNN.
02:05Because Epstein liked to see her in her school uniform, she said there were many times when Groff saw her
02:10wearing her uniform.
02:11Another detail from Groff's testimony that multiple women disputed, her claim that she never paid anyone on Epstein's behalf.
02:18I definitely was paid by Leslie because I asked for money all the time.
02:23Fresh hundred dollar bills looks like it just came out the bank.
02:26It was always in a white envelope.
02:28Groff appears in the Epstein files thousands of times, a ubiquitous presence for almost two decades in managing Epstein's day
02:35-to-day life, from scheduling appointments to arranging travel plans.
02:39Groff's lawyer did not respond to CNN's request for comment for this story.
02:43Groff has never been charged with a crime and denied to Congress that she ever knew about Epstein's abuse of
02:48girls and women.
02:49For 18 years, I worked for Dr. Jekyll, but was never permitted to see the true Mr. Hyde, Groff told
02:54lawmakers.
02:55Mr. Epstein was, in hindsight, a master manipulator and deceiver who separated his legitimate life from his secret life as
03:02an abuser.
03:03While Groff was not under oath, lying to Congress is a crime.
03:06Some Epstein survivors question whether the current congressional investigation might be a dead end.
03:11We have so many people coming in and lying and saying they don't know, they don't remember.
03:16Can we just have one person at least come in and take accountability and bring in full transparency?
03:22And Aaron, a spokeswoman for the House Oversight Committee, tells CNN that they are currently reviewing Groff's transcript against available
03:30evidence
03:30and that they would welcome any additional evidence from anybody that might have it.
03:35But some of the Epstein survivors that we talked to did say that cooperation can be hard to come by
03:41because some of these interactions with Groff would have taken place many years ago
03:45when some of these victims were teenagers and certainly before the proliferation of smartphones.
