00:00Try to say, oh, we're suggesting it was just an accidental drowning, go ahead and move on.
00:06Well, they are not accepting it.
00:09They are not accepting it.
00:11They want to know that you have not taken the path of least resistance,
00:19that you have done a full, complete, thorough, impartial investigation
00:28because it cannot be lost on anybody, but especially us in the black community.
00:39If the roles were reversed and you had three young black men on a boat with a young white man
00:50and that young white man ended up dead,
00:55what kind of investigation would be being conducted by the Mississippi law enforcement officials?
01:03How many times would those three young black men be interrogated?
01:09So all we're asking is the same consideration you would have given if the roles were reversed.
01:18Give that consideration to this family as well.
01:23That is our fight.
01:25The glaring contradictions just jump out at you.
01:29The fact that he is there with his friends, and you look at all the videos,
01:38because it seems to be he's the only black on the island, or maybe one other, but not many.
01:47And so, Jared, you have where a young woman he was talking to says that,
01:56well, Nolan said he was going back to get on the boat with the boys.
02:05The boys say that Nolan told them he was going to stay and talk to the young woman.
02:17It's a contradiction.
02:19They're not saying the same thing.
02:23One of them is telling the truth.
02:26One of them is not.
02:28We have to get to the bottom of that.
02:30It's important.
02:32And then the fact, Reverend Al, that they have this video of an argument that is going on.
02:43And, you know, thank God all young people, they have cell phones,
02:48and any time you hear people raising their voice, they start the video.
02:52And so, you hear on the video, Nolan saying, give me my freaking phone.
02:59What are you freaking doing?
03:02And that becomes even more relevant when you think about the story that they are presenting,
03:11that Nolan chose to stay behind.
03:15That's what they're saying.
03:18But his phone, he wouldn't take that with him if he's going to stay behind on an island?
03:25I mean, we're talking about an 18-year-old kid.
03:29What teenager would leave their phone behind if they're going to stay on this island?
03:37What teenager wouldn't take their phone?
03:40And so it's not adding up.
