00:00The family of college football player Nolan Wells says too many things about his death just don't
00:04add up. Wells' body will now be flown to Washington, D.C. for an independent autopsy.
00:09So far, investigators have said they don't suspect foul play. The 18-year-old was found
00:13dead days after disappearing during a 4th of July boating trip to Mississippi's Horn Island.
00:18The family has also hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump to dig into whether or not investigators
00:22are wrong and foul play was involved. Crump says Wells' friends told police that they left the
00:28island on their boat because Nolan chose to stay behind. But a woman believed to be the last person
00:33he was seen talking to has a different account. She allegedly told investigators that after their
00:39conversation, Nolan said he was going back to the boat. The obvious question now, which version is
00:45it? Authorities believe Wells may have drowned, but Crump says investigators are dismissing too much,
00:51including video that appears to show an argument on the island before he vanished.
00:54His family also wants answers about his cell phone. Crump claims that friends took the phone
00:59after Wells disappeared and deleted messages before it was returned to the family. The Mississippi State
01:05Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on Tuesday, but no official cause of death has yet been released,
01:10and it could take weeks to receive the state's results, which includes a toxicology report.
