00:09Hello everyone, this is Ahmed Dhan of AhmedDhan.com. Today I'll have another episode of DaVinci
00:14Tips and Tricks video and I'll talk about how to remove or delete a clip without affecting
00:20or removing or deleting other clips. So what happened, let's see if you'd like to remove
00:25a clip or an effect or anything. So for example, let's take a look here. So if you highlight
00:32this and let's see if you would like to delete this and if you just hit delete, then what's
00:37happening, it's moving your timeline and it's messing up everything. So I don't want it that
00:42way. So let's go back. And also another example, you'd like to remove this section. So if you
00:50just, you know, delete this, then you can see that, you know, this is all moving other
00:55clips. So if you do not want other clips to move or affect when you're removing or deleting
01:02anything, the way you can do it, highlight what you'd like to remove. So for example, let's
01:07see if you'd like to move this and then if you hit the backspace button on your keyboard
01:12for Mac, I believe that's the delete button and hit delete or backspace and you can see
01:19that it's not moving or removing anything else and everything is intact. So you just
01:23have that empty space which you wanted to delete. So let's just go back and same here. Let's
01:31say I would just like to remove this part or this text from here without affecting other,
01:37then I would just, you know, highlight that and hit the backspace and you can see that it's
01:42not touching or moving or affecting anything. So that's how you delete or remove a clip without
01:49affecting or removing or touching other clips. For the next Da Vinci video, I'm going to
01:54put a link on the screen and I'll see you in the next video. Thank you for watching.
