00:30Bataan Islands constitute a natural geographical extension of Taiwan with sovereignty belonging
00:35to China. It adds Japan-Philippines' maritime delimitation negotiations in the area hold no
00:41legal validity. Bataan Islands refers to the largest northernmost Philippine province of Matanes.
00:47Foreign Affairs Secretary Maria Teresa Lazaro also downplays the impact of the Chinese callers'
00:52assertion. Meantime, Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. says the Philippine
01:02government should push back against these claims.
