00:08Now, Neil has become a social media star because of some of his behaviour,
00:14like bashing bollards and chewing on traffic cones.
00:18He's attracted fans far and wide, and each day here at Seven Mile Beach,
00:23hundreds of people were coming to see him, and even today, people are still arriving.
00:28But authorities say it appears Neil has moved on.

00:34The Department of Natural Resources says it's normal for seals to head off
00:39after spending several weeks resting on the shore.
00:42Now, wildlife experts are monitoring the area just in case he turns up somewhere else,
00:46and they're asking the public to let them know if they see him.
00:50And they're also continuing to remind people that they need to stay at least 20 metres away
00:56if they do come across Neil.
00:59Experts say it's likely that Neil will return to these shores in summer
01:03once he finishes feeding in the Southern Ocean.
