00:30Copernicus said the late June heatwave in Europe followed another extreme heat event in May,
00:35with a fresh heatwave emerging in early July.
00:38The extreme heat shattered records across several countries contributed to the heat-related deaths
00:43and triggered wildfires in parts of southwestern Europe.
00:47Scientists say the back-to-back heatwaves highlight the growing frequency
00:51and severity of extreme weather events across the region.
